Okay so my stress level has been up there along with my emotional level. On Wednesday last week, talked with my mom and figured out that something was not right with her. Thursday, my brother rushed her to the ER because she didn't know any of us and was incoherent. Her sodium level was very low. Friday we find out that she has a mass/tumor on her pituitary gland that might require surgery, so with all this I have been wanting to eat all the wrong things, (I have done this only twice in the last 5 days.) I think I have stayed on track pretty good, all things considered, I haven't gained any weight and I have lost about 5 pounds. I haven't been to the gym, I have been spend part of the day at the hospital, but I am trying to get a walk in several times a day.

    I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. These are the times that try men's souls (don't know who said that but it's true). Remember when we want to eat in stressful times, we replace our emotions with the comfort of food. Allow yourself to feel and express your emotions to your friends, family and most importantly - yourself.

Rainy Day

Woke up early (5am) to another rainy day in the interior of Alaska. Overcast with rain and maybe a chance of snow. Rain means that the grandkids are indoors today, so keeping them entertained.
