My fastest time running 5k then BAM

Monday, September 26, 2011

I finally have time to blog about this...last Friday I ran my fastest time 39min (5K). Yeaaaa ME!!!!! I did it in the morning and I thought WOW what a way to start the day! I was soooo excited to hit that time....I think I was floating around the house because I was proud of myself.
I showered and got myself ready then I woke up my 3 kids for school....I am still floating and smiling : )
After a while I realize the time we were running behind so we hurried out to my vehicle and BOOM I hit the garage door...Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! This cant be happening right now. The garage door is dented a little bit and as my vehicle. I been trying to save up money...by cutting corner here and there but now it all goes to this. I was soooo upset with myself. But after I calmed down I realized it was a sign I need to slow down! Yes I was sooooo upset about the garage door and my vehicle but it didnt it take away from my awesome run.. emoticon

Congrats on your 5K time!!! Maybe someday I'll get to the point I can run a 5K. You're a great inspiration.

I have done that too. We were late for my son's soccer practice. It's frustrating, but you are right, it is a sign to slowwwww dowwwwwn. Congrats on the great 5K time!

It's is kinda ironic though that the lesson was slow down when you got your fastest personal record! emoticon

Bye Bye scale

Monday, July 18, 2011

I am sooo frustrated with my weight. My weight is all over the place. I think looking at my weight fluctuate all over is messing with my head and my weight loss. So I made a decision I will pack up my scale till September and then weigh myself and see if there is a change in my weight . I do think I need to keep an eye on it but not as often.

So bye bye emoticon

I think this is an excellent idea! The scale shouldn't have the power to mess with your head, but it certainly does! I limit myself to only once a week, so I can keep riding a feeling good, feeling thin high, even if I'm not. I know if I were to step on the scale and it told me otherwise, it could ruin my whole day. And why let a number do that?!

So good for you! Banish that scale!

Great idea! I'm measuring how far I walk. How much I zumba. It's hard to see it on a chart, but I can definitely see that I am getting stronger -- in spite of the silly scale not moving.

Will get in the 180's at the end of this week!

Monday, June 06, 2011

Ok Ok I have been in the lower 190's for sometime now. Its time for me to get in the 180's. Its like how I was in the 200's it took forever to get in the 190's Why???? Something in me is making me stall that I cant get over those humps.

But I am determined to do it! Yeaaaa ME! emoticon

I am really going to watch what I eat(which I struggle the most) and put in some extra exercising too. I am sooo determined to this.....can I hear a big emoticon.

Also my hubby will be gone this week...dont get me wrong I love Love him but he is my saboteur. I know I am responsible for our own actions but he doesnt help. I try to to explain to him not to bring home treats for me.. but he still does. It so hard for me not to eat it. Plus I feel I eat more around him too. So this week is a great week to work on ME.

Can I do this....YES I can.....I feel those 180's coming real soon. I will let you all know when I hit it...believe me you will know. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Girlfriend, I understand. I always look forward to getting through my individual weight goals. I am at 242 and I can't wait to get to 200 so that I can crank the intensity up even higher because I feel once I get there I may hit a stall myself. I understand about the loved ones and sweets, my daughter bless her heart went to eat and to the movies with her friends and brought me a giant cookie back, she didn't think about it but I didn't eat the cookie, I thanked her for it but I refused to eat it. I do give myself occasional treats but if I don't know the ingredients I won't eat it. Tell your hubby if he is gonna bring a sweet treat in your home, tell him to get you low fat, low in sugar treats. I know you will be just fine. Have a wonderful Day!! T

A swift kick in the butt

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

I dont know if its been this crappy weather we have been getting this spring or my allergies.
These last couple of weeks I have no energy to workout. I usually workout in the morning but I am so tired I skip it.. I just want to stay in bed. I just dont have the motivation that I had.

The beginning of this week its been slow but its slowly turning around...maybe because we had a few straight day of emoticon. But also I need to to get a kick in the butt to stay motivated too. emoticon

I, too, have been trying to avoid caffiene and I am using B12 Complex, only I take it via pill form.. not a quick boost but definetely a boost. I have been dealing with crappy weather issues as well. I can't wait for some emoticon

Don't give up!!!!! Weather affects me greatly too but you just have to not think about doing your work outs and just do it!
I have a hard time getting going in the mornings (when I work out) so I usually take a B12 Complex Supplement (liquid form) You simply put it under your tongue and hold it for 30 seconds and it gets into your system faster than pill form and gives you a little boost of energy. I don't do caffein anymore so I need something!
