Plateau? Nah...

Lack of weight loss - yup!

I've been staying Paleo - but eating too many calories, not eating enough veggies, not drinking enough water, and not hitting my daily step goals - life has intruded. This time however, I have not gained - and am getting back in the saddle quickly.

I'll be locked in a hotel again next week - okay.

Time to lock and load my successful weight loss plan again. I've stabilized at this weight, and am ready to do the next push into One-derland!

Stay Palo, within calorie range, meet veggie and water goals, meet 10,000 steps/day and add in basic weight resistance twice/week to keep metabolism burning hot!


Ready, set, GO!!!!!!!

    Not getting enough veggies is a reoccurring problem for me. I hated them as a kid and eventually learned to like them as a grownup, but for some reason they are the easiest food group to forget, so I can relate.

I have been working out and eating healthy lately but I cannot seem to lose weight either.

I have started to step up the exercising and eat more salads and fruits. I seem to do much better when I avoid unnecessary carbs.

Okay - I'm Paleo/low carb, so when I order chicken or shrimp fajitas, I get them with onions, red peppers, mushrooms and no oil. On the side I normally get lettuce and salsa. No rice, beans, cheese, tortillas, or sour cream.

Well, I decided to switch things up a little yesterday. I added a chopped salad on the side: lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, carrots, radish, onion, and granny smith apple - no salad dressing, but a side of salsa.

When the sizzling fajita plate arrived, I immediately pushed the fajitas to the side and placed the raw onion, raddish, carrots, and apples on the hot plate. When everything stopped sizzling, I stirred the hot plate to mix everything up and placed a heaping portion of the fajitas on the salad with the fresh salsa on top. It was amazing....

Plenty of left overs, so I'm looking forward to seconds and thirds over the next few days!

Had a blast at the Gasparilla Softball tournament cheering on my friend and new friends. Great time, lots of walking, good sportsmanship too! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend...!

    I love Mexican but have never tried anything like that but, now I will. I love it when they use fresh tomatoes with the peppers and onions in fajitas.

Safe House...

For those who asked for the movie review - Safe House was very good - I would recommend it... Lots of twists and room for a sequel.

And as for Safe House, it feels safe to be back in mine with control over my diet and exercise again! Weigh-in is tomorrow and I'm feeling great about the next week - so bring it on...!
