So this adventure started for me on Monday. There are lots of things happening in my life right now that are encouraging me to get healthy. I've made excuses for years: I'm to busy, I'm to tired, I don't have time, I don't like going to the gym.... I've run out of excuses. I quit my job so that I could finish school and I now have ample time to work out. Monday and Tuesday were great days for me. I worked out both days and really paid attention to serving sizes. I was very surprised to realize that on a regular basis I eat 2-3 servings without even realizing it. Wednesday I ate a little bit more than I wanted, or needed and I didn't work out. Normally, this would have sent me down a self-destructive path to just be lazy, eat massive amounts of food for the rest of the week, and start "fresh" on Monday. But this life that I have is the only one I get. It's up to me to make the most of it and that's what I'm doing. I got myself back on track with exercise and diet today. No more getting discouraged over a tiny relapse, I'm going to keep pushing forward. I know I can do this, I just have to do it.
