Love it that's one of my workout mantras :) because He truly comes through. Sometimes He has to force us out of things we're trying to hold on to - to get us the greater things.

No more tears!

Thursday, February 28, 2013

As the old saying goes, when it rains it pours! Instead of celebrating my birthday and work anniversary next week, I was called into HR office and laid off! 4 days before my anniversary. And then treated like a common criminal. Can't return to my desk and get personal items, will be mailed to you next week! Ughh!!

Dr visit today confirms not only is my Vitamin D levels still extremely low, but blood pressure is back up and uterus filled with fibroids yet again!! Insurance ends at midnight and no job leads in sight! Biopsy to make sure not cancerous, but can't do anything until new job/insurance!

Will not be shedding tears all depressed. Zumba tonight, focusing on more exercise and eating healthier!

My heart goes out to you. Hold tight to the fact that this too shall pass. When one door closes another opens. Stick with your healthy path and stay prepared to walk through the door when it presents itself. emoticon

emoticon Life does have its obstacles - I'm 74 and have gotten through many. I pray you have a positive attitude - life is sometimes difficult - but a positive attitude when the ladder is pulled out from you is the best defense. God bless, Earl emoticon

I am so sorry to hear this..I'm praying that you find a job fast..please know that you are a good person and things will work out..faith

Your health is important, and maybe you can work something out with your dr. I do understand though, I haven't had insurance since my husband passed in 2011. It sucks, but I can't afford it.
Keep your chin up..praying for you

Working Long Hours at Month End

Monday, July 02, 2012

Due to our job deadlines, we work the first and second days of the month until 9 PM. 13 entire hours!!!

And of course I didn't pack my food for today, so trying to work around what is available here at the office.

Instant oatmeal came out to 320 calories this morning. Subway 6" contained 1060 grams of sodium and now for dinner Caesar salad and personal pan pizza has taken me over my calorie intake by almost 200 calories!

Lesson to self, must prepare meals ahead of time and no excuses!!!

Thanks for the encouraging words. I didn't look at it like that!!!

I also have been trying to have my daily meals planned out to avoid fast food! Prior to this year, I would eat out at least 3 -4 days a week. Definitely know about the saved $$$$.

Girl, life finds a way to interfere with our plans. Under your circumstance, you did very well (at least you did eat a serving of veggies - salad). Like you've already stated, you'll be better prepared for next month. I also have begun packing my lunch and not only am I eating healthier, I'm saving $$$ emoticon

Give yourself the credit you deserve. Despite the fact that you didn't prepare your meal, you only went over 200 calories. You actually did quite well. Think about the positive...think of some of the other choices you could have made and would have made in the past. I'm bet you've come a long way baby! emoticon emoticon
