For Day Ending 10/17 (Thur) - Sleep Diary

What time did you wake up today? 10:15 am

What time are you lying down to go to sleep? 12:30 am

What, if any, was your bedtime routine? - Pills, moisturize, read

What were the last food(s) you consumed tonight? Dinner - 9:00pm

Did you exercise today? Yoga and heavy gardening (the rose bushes and trees needed trimming)

Did you consume any alcoholic beverages today? No

Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or foods today? 1 Cup of coffee - Morning

Did you take any medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) today? (Standard routine - Yes)

Did you take any naps today? No (almost at 4pm)

What types of stressors did you encounter today, and what types do you expect to encounter tomorrow? - Nothing really for stressors today. Tomorrow may be a stressful day since I am meeting up with with folks from former work who wanted to give me a going away luncheon, which I think is very sweet. We will see how well it turns out.

How hungry did you feel today? Light to medium by dinner time.

How awake did you feel today? - Very awake, actually was more awake than I thought I would be.

How irritable did you feel today? Actually did pretty good, two little moments (one about a project I asked my husband to take care of weeks ago, which he didn't and corn....don't ask)

How long did it take you to fall asleep last night? - 30 minutes maybe

How many times did you wake up during the night? - TOO MANY

In total, how many hours did you sleep last night? - Not even sure given the fact that I woke up so many times last night, 7:30 when the alarm went off for Dan so he could go to his DR appointment, then at 8:45 for a phone call, rescheduling our lunch date for Monday, dozed some more to 10:30 when he came back, dozed some more until 12:30 pm. - Feel like I am coming down with something :(

Energy Level - VERY LOW...

Stress Level - low thank goodness

Quality of Sleep - Terrible.

Self-Esteem - Bleh. Going to do sorting and cleaning today, not very artsy either.

Inner Thoughts:

I realized its been almost two weeks since my termination, and I really still haven't gotten use to that term - termination. It just feels wrong. When you quit a company everyone is all happy for you. When you're terminated even if it is the best for both sides (which I was very unhappy with the position and stressed out to the max) it feels so vile, so cuthroat, undercover, even like a criminal, which this wasn't about. This was - they didn't have a job for my skill set and I didn't want to stay doing what I was doing which was miserable. But I still feel like some tossed worn out garment.

Musings and such

Today - I spent a little investment time in working out a spreadsheet for all the little activities around the house and yard that I want to do and sorta did this grouping of 1 hour projects so I do something each day.

I've started breaking my day into sections so I can build up new habits for making time for walking, exercising and meditation - along with my business and my housework.

I plan on creating a - daily checkin blog entry similar to my sleep journal but haven't quite figured out the ins and outs of it. Should be interesting.

For Day Ending 10/16 (Wed) - Sleep Diary

What time did you wake up today? 9:20 am thinking it was 10:20 am

What time are you lying down to go to sleep? 12:30 am

What, if any, was your bedtime routine? - Pills, moisturize, read

What were the last food(s) you consumed tonight? Dinner - 8:00pm-10:00pm sorta dragged out dinner.

Did you exercise today? Lots of stretching and strength and yoga today...

Did you consume any alcoholic beverages today? No

Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or foods today? 1 Cup of coffee - Morning, 1 Diet Coke this afternoon

Did you take any medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) today? (Standard routine - Yes)

Did you take any naps today? No

What types of stressors did you encounter today, and what types do you expect to encounter tomorrow? - Play date went well, though there were a few moments of social awkwardness - me being so rusty and not having a lot of friends to hang with. But I actually enjoyed myself.

How hungry did you feel today? Light to medium

How awake did you feel today? 4 (though driving without my sunglasses made it hard to not want to squint which starts the yawning process in me.

How irritable did you feel today? Feeling really good, had a great Scrapbook/Cardmaking play date today.

How long did it take you to fall asleep last night? - 30ish minutes

How many times did you wake up during the night? - 3

In total, how many hours did you sleep last night? - 9

Energy Level - 4 (Though I am going to pace myself so I don't run out of steam)

Stress Level - Mild -but I feel something brewing just under the radar.

Quality of Sleep - Weird - I had dreams about going back to work at Untangle. Like - WHY?! would I go back to a place I know very well was a sexist, misogynistic, anti QA place? It made no sense at all. In fact I really was weirded out by the thought.

Self-Esteem - Faltering today. I have tomorrow that I have built an image around in regards to going to lunch with some folks, and whether they will ditch or not. _I_ still put too much power into what others think of me.

Adding a New section

I had a wonderful day going out and getting out to do a scrapbook play date. I realized that I am so social rusty that it was at times a bit awkward but we made it through. Can't wait until next week.

Tomorrow I have to call the former work and find out why my Cobra paperwork has not shown up since we so need to get that started so there is no gap in coverage.

    Good for you! Nothing like some scrapping! I am doing my diary in my hard book journal, hard to make time on the computer with work too.
But will try to share my week wrap up with you. Funny this week I am doing pretty good ~ avg 6.5 hrs solid streak, which of course I would like to improve but still pretty good...love how you are really observing and noting things.

For Day Ending 10/15 (Tue) - Sleep Diary

What time did you wake up today? 9:15 am

What time are you lying down to go to sleep? 1:00 am

What, if any, was your bedtime routine? - Pills, moisturize, read

What were the last food(s) you consumed tonight? Dinner - 9:30 pm - It consisted of Chinese take out that we like (its cheap) Lemon Chicken *Yummy*, decent Chicken Chow Mein and Garlic Chicken. Garlic chicken wasn't spicy enough :(. Topped it off with 5 Girl Scout shortbread cookies.

Did you exercise today? Yoga and walking (* and got Dan to work with me today on learning Yoga)

Did you consume any alcoholic beverages today? No

Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or foods today? 1 Cup of coffee - Morning

Did you take any medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) today? (Standard routine - Yes)

Did you take any naps today? No (I SO wanted to at 4 pm)

What types of stressors did you encounter today, and what types do you expect to encounter tomorrow? - Actually kept my head on today, got a lot done on four designs, and put a lot of the backlog of un-inventoried new beads away. Tomorrow - Going to a friends house for a few hours to do scrapbooking... should be interesting - given its my first time.

How hungry did you feel today? Was great until 8pm

How awake did you feel today? 4

How irritable did you feel today? only snapped twice... which is really good

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

How long did it take you to fall asleep last night? - 30 minutes - but then was awaken an hour later because Husband still was reading (It was 2:30 am)

How many times did you wake up during the night? - 3 (not sure if waking up and dozing from 7:45 to 9:15 counts as waking up or not

In total, how many hours did you sleep last night? - 7 but I woke up at 9:20 after just dozing for almost 2 hours

Energy Level - 3

Stress Level - LOW - actually feel really good.

Quality of Sleep - Moderate. No nightmares and stayed most of the night under the covers.

Self-Esteem - Reflective today. I'm not depressed, not frustrated, feel good actually. Doing mentally sound today. And I actually feel restful/calm. (Plus I really like Vanilla Almond Milk - this is quite tasty - eating breakfast and typing)

Adding a New section ---- Tracking lingering thoughts and added to the dinner part - what did I eat--

I've noticed that I think I need to start tracking what my lingering thoughts or ideas or whatever is on my mind before I go to bed. I think there is something here that manifests itself into my dreams and may be part of the triggers for the nightmares.

What time did you wake up today? 9:45 am

What time are you lying down to go to sleep? 12:30 am

What, if any, was your bedtime routine? - Pills, moisturize, read

What were the last food(s) you consumed tonight? Dinner - 8:30 pm

Did you exercise today? Just my yoga - I had planned on going outside but got caught up getting a new necklace design started.

Did you consume any alcoholic beverages today? No

Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or foods today? 1 Cup of coffee - Morning

Did you take any medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) today? (Standard routine - Yes)

Did you take any naps today? No

What types of stressors did you encounter today, and what types do you expect to encounter tomorrow? - Working out trying to get a plan of action started so I can have some sort of routine. - Not getting this routine started and tomorrow - dealing with a DR. I really have no real interest in seeing.

How hungry did you feel today? low - actually.

How awake did you feel today? 3- Fairly alert

How irritable did you feel today? 2 - low.

In total, how many hours did you sleep last night? - 9 hours

Energy Level - 3 - sluggish but that sometimes is normal for me when waking up

Stress Level - low - 2

Quality of Sleep - actually - I had some dreams that woke me up but I didn't write them down, but it left me unsettled. Then - my kitty wanted to snuggle.... climbed on my side and curled up making it hard to move. Not the best sleep I have had, but not back. DID however wake up with my lower back hurting. Need to stretch that out this morning

Self-Esteem - 3 - Feeling okay.
