Cool beans! It wasn't too cold this morning, so I got the bicycle out and had a super ride for my cardio workout. I also did my Track to 500 strength exercises, and the Day 4 10-minute Spring into Shape video. I like those videos. Did my stretching, too.
Tomorrow: sprints! Yay, I love sprints.

Well, I was hoping to push it on my run this morning, but my friends were more inclined to walk. Still, it was a good, fast 3.3 mile walk, and I followed it up with a one mile run. I also did my Track to 500 lunges, push-ups and squats. Also, bent over rows, plank and side planks. Wrapped it up when I got home with the 10-minute Day 3 bootcamp video and stretches.
I am so thankful I was scheduled to meet up with my walking/running pals this morning. Had one of those restless nights where I tossed and turned, woke up feeling down in the dumps. Nothing like getting out and moving to counteract that frame of mind!

Woohoo, day 2 on Spring into Shape and Track to 500! Loved the Crunchless Core Day 2 video from the bootcamp challenge! Otherwise, went pretty easy today, a half hour brisk walk, then 2 sets of 12 reps on lunges, push-ups, squats and bent-over rows. Also did plank and side planks. And then.... I stretched. Yay!
So, I'm up to 144 on my track to 500, day 2.
Tomorrow morning I'm meeting up with my buddies for our Saturday run, and I hope to push it just a little.

Woohoo, off to a great start on the Spring into Shape Bootcamp Challenge as well as Justducky's Track to 500 Challenge.
This morning I did: 2 sets of 12 reps lunges, squats, pushups, (those three count towards my Track to 500, so that's 72), and bent over side rows.
Also 30 seconds each, plank and side planks. Oh, I also did the 10-minute cardio kickboxing video.
It was track night with my awesome coach and running buddies, and it was a great workout. We did about 2.5 miles total, with 1.5 miles of hard laps. Then, one of the young ones in the group got to choose something to have us do, and she made us do......crabwalks!!! I have never even done that before, but it was fun!
A great day, with lots of great inspiration here at SP. Thanks, Kendra, for the Track to 500, it's going to really help me put more focus on my strength training.

Went out for a three-mile run this morning. Mother Nature has been kind here in Michigan, so the road was pretty clear and not even slippery. It made for a good run.
It's almost the New Year, which I have every expectation will be a good one. I've been working on my resolutions. It's a rather lengthy list, so I'll spare you the gory details. A few highlights, however....
* I plan to run 2-3 times a week in 2012. Sounds easy enough, but believe me, that's a challenge in the Michigan winter. I'm up for it. Somehow.
* I plan to run a half-marathon somewhere along the line in 2012. Just for fun. I love long runs, so it's sort of a natural progression.
* Eat to live. Lately, my nutrition has really suffered, so 2012, kick start, back to my old, healthy ways - surprise, they actually make me feel good.
* And... in the process, drop those extra pounds I picked up. At least five of them. Waah.
* Dress to feel good. This does not mean wearing sweat pants and baggy shirts. It means short skirts and nice tops. When I dress better, I feel better, I eat better, I act better - the whole shebang.
The other stuff on my list has a lot to do with my creative life.
One other top priority: finding more ways to give my love to my kids, and to others.
