Day 3

Thursday, June 03, 2010

Going well-was over on sodium, but good on calories and fat. Exercising in small periods of time is helping to get back in the swing of things. Eight cups of water and it is not even 5pm. I have water aerobics tonight.

Day 2

Wednesday, June 02, 2010

So far so good-yesterday I was over on sodium, but where I needed to be on calories and fat. I have been drinking water all along, so this is not an area I need to work on. I am doing small bursts of exercise-20 minute walk, 10 minutes in elliptical, 20 minutes on stationary bike. The Spark article 25 Ways too Get Restarted was very helpful.

Returning to Spark Program

Tuesday, June 01, 2010

With the first of June, comes a renewed effort to get my eating under control. So far so good on Day 1-eating within program guidelines and have exercised twice for short periods of time. Just slowing trying to get my self back into the swing of things.

Sorry for the repeated comments! My computer kept freezing up and I thought my comment wasn't getting posted! But the sentiment remains the same...good for you for getting back into the swing of things.

I hear ya! I am craving sweets and carbs BIG time. I have to DE-TOX for about a week to get back in control.

Am glad I am not the only one out there with these issues. Keeps us strong and bonded on this site!

Goals for April

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

My goals are the same as they were for March, since I did not adhere to the program. I am ready for the challenges of weekly posting of weight and fitness minutes. At least during the month of March I have not had any soda!

One step at a time. Giving up soda is great! I gave up sweet tea and really haven't missed it. emoticon

Hey, giving up soda is a big deal! Don't sell yourself short on that one! Not having all those empty calories is a great thing.

So April is a great month to get with the program! Good luck, and check in from time to time to say how you are doing. Think how great you are going to feel by the end of the month! emoticon

Encountering a Defeat

Monday, March 29, 2010

This month I have encountered a defeat with my goals and weight loss, but I am not defeated. I am back on track and feeling the glow of the Spark! Since the 11th of Mach-I just didn't really care about much of anything and my husband and I were eating out most meals. I am so tired of restaurant food! I have a meal plan for the rest of the week and am cleaning out the freezer. No eating out this week. I still have not achieved filling a void by other than emotional eating-I must learn to take care of myself first - then take care of everything/everyone . The emotional eating did not develop overnight and will not simply disappear-I must work to keep it in check hour by hour and day by day. Life teaches us that set backs are going to happen-now I have to challenge myself for a more constructive way to deal with them!
