Day 10

Better night. Wanted to snooze but got up and went to HBC for 20 minutes strength training and stretch, followed by reward of 10 min. in hot tub. Found an inspirational article yesterday of 12 things successful people do before noon--got One Note set up to track these along with my usual to do list. New panini maker is nice--did a grilled egg/cheese/onions/peppers/daiya cheese shreds on flatout bread for breakfast (fried the egg first).

Woke up around 2am so definitely short on sleep. Cravings will be a challenge today. Did ~11 minutes of abs/squats/lunges first thing and 30 minute walk after arriving in SF.

Monday, August 13, 2012

Had a really bad day yesterday. DH was difficult and oh so passive aggressive all day. It was all downhill after my strength training and hard spin class. My reaction was too much wine. I have to find other ways of dealing with him--it's his failing health and hearing, coupled with sleeping pills, that make him so irritable and defensive.

But today is a new day and I start week 2. Need to observe nutrient counts this week so I can determine how to adjust--my gut says I need to work on carb control.

I think I've lost a pound--154 three mornings in a row. Today will be strength training circuit and a 60 minute spin class. Have done pretty well with tracking, exercise and water over the past week. Later will decide on another goal for week 2. This time I will lose the weight--focus, focus, focus

Slept much better taking just Sleep Max and alone in guest bedroom. DH suggested we sleep separately so he can keep the covers on the bed! Planning on a walk on the beach today.
