Organizational plan

Monday, April 08, 2013

Earlier this year we decided to paint and recarpet the office, a good opportunity to clean it out. We moved everything out and I have been sorting, trashing and organizing as I take things back in. Throwing away what I can, shredding old documents and setting up my craft area. It is a work in progress and doubtfully will be complete by end of the challenge but at least I am working on it!

This weekend I was working on projects for my DD's wedding in October, making flower center pieces and gift boxes on my Cricut. Got the approval from DD and her honey on my ideas so now I can work on them which will be good as I can do a little at a time but bad as I will have to store everything somewhere until October...more clutter but will have an end in mind.

i need to pick a couple rooms and either organize and throw it out. i tend to just relocate junk to a new room instead of just using it or throwing it out.

It's not clutter when it is serving a purpose.

I really need to clear out some of my "stuff". I have FAR too much. I wonder if I can stick to doing it like you are. Good luck!

A great Easter weekend

Monday, April 01, 2013

A weekend filled with good things. Saturday worked outside in my flower beds cleaning them out. Wild weather that night with storms and hail. Sunday dawned bright and had my sweet Gracie and went to church with great service and fellowship. Kids came over in the afternoon and beautiful day for Easter egg hunt and a cookout. A great day!

St Patty Challenge

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Just saw the challenge and you can count me in! Got on the scale and I have starting gaining on my loss so need to step it up. Went to doctor with DH yesterday and he goes back in 3 weeks but has been taking back some of his responsibilities so I have been able to get some gym time this month. Now time to get serious about eating, or maybe I should say NOT eating the things that cause these sneaky pounds to find their way back to my body. It is still achievable to meet my goal before my sparkaversary in April so my short term goal is to lose 10 lbs before St Patty's day. That should not be a problem and then the last 10 before April Sparkaversary. It was a beautiful pre-Spring day on Sunday and I got out with my Granddaughter and cleaned out some of my flower beds abd pushed her around the yard in her gator - no easy task.

Need to get in shape for DD wedding in October and will have to balance out my time with planning and making time for ME. Thanks to all my Spark pals that keep my going down the path of healthier times ahead. emoticon

It's all about one decision at a time and we'll get there! Nothing like grandchildren to provide exercise inspiration! I enjoyed the Sunday weather too with a walk with my grandson and playing at a playground! We'll get there, but enjoying the journey too!

New month new commitment!

Friday, February 01, 2013

Wow, January sure went by fast! I tried to start off on the right foot but life got in the way. Hubby had back surgery on 1/14 so I have spent the last 3 weeks running around taking care of everybody else and no time for me. Wearing my red today and am making a commitment for February to try and do better, get back on my exercise program and lose this last 10-15 lbs.I have been maintaining pretty well and am trying to eat smart and healthy at least 80% of the time so all is good there. Thanks for my faithful friends that send me notes of encouragement, they are always received right on time! Would be great to meet my goal before my Sparkaversary in April, can't believe it has been 5 years!

Making progress!

Friday, September 28, 2012

I have been super busy the last week but wanted to share my success. Last week I had my 6 week fitness evaluation with the Trainer and was thrilled to have improved in EVERY area. She was very pleased too but now I have to keep going and see if I can reach even further toward my overall goals and then maintain over time. I reduced weight and inches and increased my strength and cardio endurance. I just got back my health assessment as well from the insurance company and was able to meet or improve on all those metrics as well. I have about 10 more pounds to lose to meet my goal and then as we move in to the holidays will have to work hard to maintain and not slip back in to old habits. My DH just decided last week that he also wants to lose some weight as he has been having back pain and going to the doctor for that. With us working on this together I hope we can both improve our overall health. emoticon

That is so great, and working together will make it so much easier, a lot of hard work, but so worth it. Good Luck and continued success
