Once again I joined weight watchers, this time I joined where I worked and retired from. I hope the support from my co-workers and friend we keep me on track and motivated. Have been walking three times a week at the mall 2.5 miles each morning. Hope this drives my weight loss.

The need for exercise

Oh boy I did yard work yesterday and pulled a muscle in my back . I know if I had kept up my work outs, I'm sure that muscle would of been strong enough to had handled a little yard work (4 hours or so). So, starting Monday It's back to 24 hour fitness and back in shape no more sitting around for me!!! The holiday is over and I need support from Sparks.

    Thank you for your comment, today I took it easy went to a family bar-b-q mostly sat and visit and played cards. Did a few stretches and some moist heat and tens unit, feeling a little better. You are so right slow and easy the older we get the longer it takes to recover.

I definitely support you in your desire to get moving again. However, 4 hours of yard work is a great deal of activity and requires your body to exert it in a great variety of ways. emoticonNever discount the effort that is put in. It is important to be patient with your body, and slowly get back into your regular routine or it will take that much longer to heal. Orthopeadic injuries take time. I know you don't want to hear this, I didn't, However I will share my personal experience. Last winter I twisted an ankle, it also pulled a tendon, It was weaker, but didn't interfere too much with daily activity, In the spring I was pulled into a ditch and reinjued it, and about three weeks later of all things fell out of bed twisted and the whole left side is damaged. Being the obsessive exerciser I am I do what I can, support it when I know I will be exerting it but am gradually working it back to normal. I am planning hydrotherapy soon. Origignally I had it checked and discussed it with my Dr. Yes, I did need to sit a day with the ice and take the ibuprofin and tylonol, and I could hardly stand not moving. It still bothers me I am not back to normal, but I am getting there. The point of all of this is Easy does it and Slow and Steady will win the race.

I'm so bad about using sp meal plan. I know I should, it would help in my weight loss. Does anyone have a idea on how to stick to their meal plan. My goal is to lose 30# by the New Year. Help!!! emoticon
