meeting goal!!

Thursday, February 10, 2011

instead of focusing on losing a big number, I decided to pick a date and lose a little at a time, I picked my dad's birthday on the 17 of feb, I wanted to lose 10 pounds, which will put me at 199 a number I haven't seen in a very long time, I have 5 pounds to go, I hope I make it, I know my dad is looking down and cheering me on...

Congrats on the 5 pounds you have lost and good luck on losing the other 5! Sometimes it's better to pick a smaller goal, looks like you're doing great!

well I went on friday to see my doc in winnipeg and his scale said I was down to 203, than yesterday I went to see my dietitian and her scale said I was down to 211 which one do you believe??? this is so fusturating, I would love to believe the 203 one it just sets me back thinking that all the hard work I have been doing the last month was worth nothing...... I think scales should be banned from docs offices their so overrated and we dwell on the number so much that when we don't get the number that we want some of us just want to give up.!

The dietitian scale says 211.3 and docs scale says 203, that's a big difference.. too big... lol

I do believe that the scale on the rug will be off as you could be rocking on it.
I hate my doctors scale, there is a 4 pound difference from hers to mine.
What did the scale at the dietitian say the last time you were there? Could it be possible that you're still doing ok?
Good luck, the scales can be a scary thing!

ty ALB for replying, I ususally get weighted at the dietitians office more, but her scale was on a carpet and my docs was on bare floor, would that make a difference? cause it was 7lbs different that's alot to be out... and there was no way I gained 7 lbs in 2 days lol, lord help me if I did....

i'd say you pick the scale that you are going to be using regularly, all scales can weigh you differently plus it also depends on the time of day you weigh yourself too.

pick a scale and the same time of day and go by those...try not to get frustrated as there are so many factors involved...

if you've been eating well and exercising and you've been enjoying it then you should be happy with yourself, the weight coming off will be a bonus and it will come off...

keep up the great work

Thursday, October 15, 2009

wow, it sure is hard to get back on track after a week away, I am having cravings and can't seem to satisfy them and I'm still having problems drinking my water. I've been nibbling for the last couple of days and can't seem to fill up and than i'm going to bed hungry cause I don't want to eat anymore since nothing seems to be working.... it's very frustrating!....

I am tracking, and all I have in the house is healthy snacks, but still seem to be getting the munchies, it's hard to snack on veggies and fruit as I have crohns and it bothers me too much I"m still trying to figure out what I can eat and what I can't, it's a long road but I"m hoping to figure it out...

I'm back!!!!!

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Hello everyone, I'm finally back from my vacation. I had a great time, but now back to the real world, I think I did ok but had a couple of fumbles, my brother likes burger king so much that we ate there twice ( he can do that he's very skinny) so I made sure I picked something lower in fat, and I had a hard time drinking all my water, but now that I'm home I can get back on track, hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!! emoticon
