Looks good! Sorry I didn't vote. My hair is growing out and I am trying to hang in there cause I wanna see what it's like to be fit and have long hair, but part of me really just wants to cut it all off again... but I figure it'll be that much more dramatic when I finally do, right?

your vote counts!

ok, tomorrow i am going for a cut and colour. i know i am going to go darker with the colour as my recent box dying is causing it to go orangish. i am trying to figure out if i want to cut it off to my shoulders again or keep it long and just get a good trim. pros to having hair to my shoulders is i tend to actually wear it down more. the cons are i actually have to do more to my hair as it becomes quite wavy. the pros to my long hair are i can braid it and i really enjoy that and that it is somewhat straight. the cons.... i have a ton of hair.

here is a pic of me with shoulder length hair. i think there may be another in my photo gallery. i'm second from the right if you don't know.

here is a more recent one with my hair longer with my friend brian and there is one from the other day in my photo gallery before i went out but not the best of hair days.

i know either are daring or "cool" but that is how i roll - lol.

besides that i had a pretty good run this morning. 10 km! i did the first 3 with the dog on the dyke (flat) then dropped the dog at home and went up and over/back the golden ears bridge. the hill going south is short but steeper. the hill going north is not as steep but so loooooooooong. i am not sure which is worse. it was fun running down the north side feeling like i was going so fast. i'm a little stiff right now. i am planning on dropping back to 5.5 miles for my long run next week. here are some pics from my run this morning. it felt like i was running on a a cloud as it was solid fog below the bridge.

this one is just of the bridge deck. the hill doesn't really show though.

tomorrow pilates and hair do!

I haven't been down to check out the new bridge yet, but your pictures make it look so good that I definitely should go soon. Congrats on a good run! I have trouble stopping at home for anything and then getting my butt back out the door for more running, so kudos!

Looks like a great run! I vote long but I'm biased (I have long hair myself).

I'm the worst at making decisions, but I think I also vote long. I personally don't know what I'd do if I wasn't able to put my hair in a ponytail and get it out of the way. Low maintenance is nice and if short hair is more work for you, long is probably the way to go.

Good job on the 10K!

That run looks beautiful!!! Glad you enjoyed!

Re: the hair... I favor longer, if only b/c it's easier to put up, and I am always having a bad hair day. Just my $0.02! Post pics when you're done!

I grew my hair out from a kind of bob to just past my shoulders..the reason? I hated the way my tiny ponytail bobbed up and down when I ran! I prefer the swooching back and forth.
Now that I write this, I see its tad weird to have your hair match your sport!
Good luck and post pictures!

    LONG.

Your neck looks gorgeous in the long hair pic. Not that it's not gorgeous in the shoulder length pic - just MORE gorgeous in the long.

I vote long...but that's just based on the fact that i WISH I had LONG hair, but my hair just stops growing at a certain point. haha. Have fun at the salon!

check up catch up

Monday, January 25, 2010

so as many of my followers (i sound like a cult leader) may know last wednesday i decided i was finally ready to lose weight again and get back down to my maintenance range which is 128-132lbs. i chose a silly week as i had tom last week but i still did pretty well.

my focus is really on my diet since i do well 99% of the time with exercise. i have only had one day since last thursday when i have blown my calorie range. ok, i lied. i have had two. one was blown with bad food and another day i blew it by 100 calories but it was all healthy clean foods so i am not so concerned with that.

i wasn't as sore from nrol4w this past week so i upped the weights today so we will see how i am tomorrow. had a successful week with running getting in 12 miles. sounds so small compared to what i used to do but i am slowly adding back miles. i will start my half plan the first week in march so i have lots of base miles to build. tomorrow i am going for 10km!

on friday we booked a night at the great wolfe lodge south of seattle for a night in feb. just going for one night so we will shop, play at waterslides, eat, sleep, play at waterslides, shop. very tiring lol! i am not shopping for anything too exciting. will probably pick up runners as they can be up to 1/2 the price compared to canada and maybe treat myself with something from the lululemon factory outlet.

I still haven't even made it to a Lululemon store-LOL- not that's a bad thing, as that store is completely out of my price comfort range... but the factory outlet in Seattle, WA? Man, I can say I'd like to come along on that trip... cool to know that they have a Great Wolfe Lodge here... around here they call them Great Bear Lodge I think... same thing. I like this park called Kalahari... it's an hour from my house is was voted # 2 on the top 10 Waterparks in the U.S, right after the "snow" one in Disneyworld.... you can even tan in Jan, as the glass lets in the sunlight, but not the UV rays-yeh! In the summer, they have an outdoor park, as well.... it's mightly cool... check out the website sometime, even though I'm not sure that it even does it justice. I heard it's for bigger kids though... the surfing can really hurt and it's expensive as heck to stay overnight, but for a day, it's soooo worth it... yes, that trip does sound VERY tiring though!

You are like rocking your workouts--- I meant to compliment you like a month or 2 ago on how consistent you've been and how awesome your attitude has been about going to the gym vs like before.... and then you went as far as swimmming... I'm so super impressed! I know you'll get that nutrition squared away... you are doing awesome!

P.S. Thanks for all your support--- I have been so up and down, it's crazy weird... I missed some of your blogs... you know how it goes, but I love catching up! Go rock the NROL4W!!!!

I'm going for 10k this weekend! :) The trip to Seattle sounds fun, and yeah -- I wouldn't count the day of 100 over w/ clean healthy eating either.

I love that getting your hair did is on the schedule. ;) hehehehe. I'm not sure what my plan is yet... I need to think about it cause I can't go to Zumba on Saturday since I'll be working during that class, so we'll see. Maybe just a run Saturday, rowing or a class on Sunday? Anyway -- NROL FOR LIFE! :D hahaha.
