Lazy has to stop......

Sunday, February 20, 2011

Well my weigh day today and guess what...I've stayed the same. So I've got off my rump and started to exercise. I've been threatening to do it for weeks now - but having lost weight each week I didn't bother. Today I have done 20 minutes on the wii + and burned 124 cals also started my walk 5k challenge for 20 mins. Stay the same again cos of laziness will I....no way

Make an effort

Saturday, January 22, 2011

That's all I have to do...I've got all the equipment I need right here at home. wii with wii fit, just dance etc. Zumba fitness DVD's...various work out DVD's - I just need to get off the butt and make an effort - I will be so pleased with the results, I know I will...my SP friends are doing it, why cant I???

Well here it is....I PROMISE to exercise for 30 mins every other day until the end of the month starting TODAY.

Phew, that's gonna be the title of my next blog emoticon

I can totally relate. It is always so hard to "just do it". I can sit here and look at the equipment and think, I'll do it in a little bit. Next thing I know, hours have gone by, I'm busy doing something else and still no workout. I've committed to 30 minutes, six days a week... so far so good.

Wow 3kg so far

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Well I am soo impressed with myself...3kg in two weeks. What a great start to a new healthier me. I've started changing the way I cook my food as well as what I'm eating. I'm using the grill more often, steaming my vegetables and dry roasting my meat in foil with spices.

I've started using low fat cheese spread instead of butter in my sandwiches (which I must say is very tasty), cooking more cauliflower and mixing it with my potato's (same portion size but double the veg, and again very tasty).

What I need to start doing now is exercise, I've put my clothes ready for wii, Zumba and walking...but that's where they've stayed.....well two out of three isn't bad emoticon

    Nice!

We found out that we all like mashed cauliflower alone even. I used to mix it with the potatoes, but now we make it as a dish of its own. LOL

Congrats on the start of your journey, looking good so far!

2nd weekend....

Friday, January 14, 2011

of being healthy is on the way, and I'm determined not to eat very unhealthy foods, and certainly no booze. I'm gonna get exercising (can't go out walking cos there's rain forecast - and I don't like walking in the dry let alone the rain lol ) some Zumba, wii fit and wii just dance are on the schedule I think. I've bought loads of fruit, my muscles and tummy is going to think they belong to someone else at this rate...anyway plans are in place...now bring it on emoticon

I actually love running in the rain! With my running group, we run in the snow and rain (as long as there's no lightning and the sidewalks are okay)!

I'll be going out tonight and Saturday night with friends; luckily tonight is a vegetarian/health-food party... but tomorrow will involve burritos and beer! But I have a run tomorrow morning and will enjoy re-fueling with a burrito later that day!

Have a great weekend!
