Back to it... again.

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Stopped tracking last week after showing a gain. I really should not weigh in on the week after my period. I should just skip that week's weigh in and keep tracking, etc. I think I'll do that from now on.

This week I'm back down to 187.8. Whew. Still quite a large loss in the short time period that I've been doing this. I lose so slowly overall, since I'm short and not very active.

Time to do something about the not active part!

Hey!!! I have no idea if you remember me, but I was reading my old blog entries from early 2007 and saw a comment from you - we used to chat a lot from the WW Friends team...and decided to check and see if you were still around...what a happy surprise to see you're back!

Yes, you know what to do, so do it.

I am in the same boat, if I did half of what I knew, I would be Superman.

I think Mark Twain said something about doing little of what he knew.

Stick with it, getting things through our thick heads or subconscious is a tough thing to do, but when we do, we have a new lifestyle and that is what this is all about. emoticon emoticon

Hope to do well this week

Friday, January 07, 2011

Sunday is my weigh-in day. I hope I have done well this week. I tracked every day, but there was the one incident with the Brie cheese.

But one bad move does not ruin the entire week, right?

I need to start exercising. Soon. Now. Today.

Plugging Along

The nutrition tracker sure has improved in the two years I've been gone. I have not browsed much on SP these last two days, but I've still been tracking my food. So glad it's easier to do than before.

Goin' Down, Goin' Down Down...

My first week back to Sparkpeople and I lost 3.8 pounds!

I stuck to my calorie ranges, and did only a teensy bit of exercise. I plan to start exercising seriously here on out.

This is such an encouragement to me! I am short and tend to lose very slowly. I know next week and from then on out it won't be as dramatic, but I'm psyched!

Struggles on the Weekend

Saturday, January 01, 2011

It was harder to control my snacking and eating on the weekend. I skipped breakfast, ate a good lunch, but in the evening I kept wanting to snack, even though I had had a good meal. I wasn't hungry, just had an appetite.

But I managed to stay within my calorie range, so it's all good. I need to eat more veggies. Veggies and fruit are on the grocery list for tomorrow. I have apples and celery on hand, just need to eat them.

Tomorrow I will weigh-in for the week. I'm setting Sunday as my official weigh-in day. That's what I love about doing this on my own as opposed to Weight Watchers. I can weigh myself in the mornings first thing and it "counts".

Your snacking at night is because you are skipping breakfast in the morning. You are starving the energy your body needs from food. If you don't like eating breakfast at least eat a good snack that includes a protein and some fruit or a smoothie. Eating every 3-4 hours will keep your hunger in check. Good luck on your journey...Happy New Year to a New YOU =0)
