I Just have to say I am just so very lucky!.
I have made so many dear Sparkie Friends, you are all so supportive and caring. I love you all.
We all have our problems in life, I don't think we could get through our lives without them. I feel this happens for a reason. We grow stronger through adversity, we learn to feel by listening to others and their problems, we learn to love by being loved, we learn to cherish by being cherished, we also learn acceptance by being accepted for who we are, but most sadly of all, we learn to judge, criticise, and hate by others who have not yet learned these lessons of life. I think we need to just go by our feelings. As a person that has lived a very varied life in many countries, I have come to realise that beneath it all, we just need to feel loved and accepted for who we are.
Thank you for listening and reading my prose. I am in quite a reflective mood today, and that has been brought about by reading so many of your blogs. much love to all .. Susie

I don't know if anyone realises the fact that this year will be classed by the mathematicians as the ending of a decade.
Our new decade begins in 2011, this come about by there being no zero year. we go to on to 2011.
There is no doubt, that this will be debatable, and I welcome this, as it is a question that many people all around the world will find quite perplexing.
2009 has been a wonderful year for me, my dear Hubby Colin turned 80 years of age and we had a wonderful party with family and friends to celebrate.
I am so much fitter and happier than I have been for years, Sparks and you wonderful Sparkie friends have contributed to this.
In September 2005 I had got to the stage in my life that I could not walk, I was being fitted up for a wheelchair.
Then a new type of exercise started up in our city, Body Profiles, this consisted of numerous couch's that were mechanic driven. I had to be helped on to them in order for my body to be able to move. this was the start of my new life.
I attended this wonderful place 5 days a week, it was quite expensive, and we were finding it very hard to find the finances to keep this up.Then the owner came up with the idea that Colin was to do all the washing of the towels that were used, and I could have my exercise for free! .How very lucky was I?. My darling husband, did those towels 5 day's a week for 4 years!!.
Unfortunately we had a recession, and the business had to close it doors.
I was able to use a wheelie-walker by this time, and decided to start swimming, I was also taking great care of what I was putting in my mouth!. I had lost 12 kilos in the previous 4 years due to the exercise and my own way of eating. Then in July 2009 I found Sparks!! I have as most of you know. lost 13 additional Kilos, I can walk (with my wheelie -walker) quite long distances, swim laps, and drive my car again
I still have a long way to go ! but hey I know I will get there. and it is mostly due to you ! all my dear Sparkie friends, you have been so very supportive, loving, and I bless you all. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Susie

I think we all at one time or another promise ourselves we will do the right thing and eat well, and exercise, all in the hope of losing some of our excess weight.
The problem is, sometimes we think the task is just to hard, and lose heart in the idea before we actually start.
We really need to make ourselves a short time goal, and not try to do so much at once, even just a short walk, or instead of driving the car to the corner store we walk it.
The same as losing weight, we need to start perhaps, with a healthy breakfast, then the following day maybe a healthy lunch.
Just one step at a time, and before we know it, it is really happening.
This Is how I started and it worked for me.
So come on,all my dear Sparkie Friends give it a go!. Love Susie

I have been reading several marvelous blogs, and it seems to me that so many of us are striving to be healthier and fitter.
Another observation I have made, is that here is so much love out there, so many of you caring for others that you have never met!
What a wonderful world this would be, if the whole planet joined Sparks!.
Now I know this is really not possible, and it really is far fetched, but one can dream can't one?.
Thank you all so very much for your support, encouragement, and best of all your friendship . I love you all and wish you all the very best for the year ahead, to be able follow your dreams and aspirations, to be healthy and active, and most of all to be loved .. Love Susie
