May Goals

I have been off and on this journey for so long but for some reason this time is different why you ask??!!! Easy my husband has accepted it and instead of enabling me he helps me! ALSO My mother and a friend have jumped on the health train with me so I have people in my life to keep me motivated, instead of doing it by myself!

So my goals by the end of may are as follows!!!

Drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day
Work out 5 times a week at minimum
Go to gym 3-4 times a week
Cut back on sweets
NO SODA
Slowly start eating healthier
Do a 30 day arm challenge
STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALE!!!!!!!!!!

I know that's a lot of goals by 4 of them I've already started doing for about a month now :-)

I need to keep up this good work!!

My only complaint is I've been working out 3-4 week at the gym and have cut out soda cut way back on sweets and have started drinking more water not enough but more and even eaten healthier (I switched out my ground chuck for turkey!!!) Ok so here's the complaint my scale has not moved down one little bit actually it's gone up a few pounds then down to my usual weight. I'm so confused I'm doing so well I'm doing my absolute hardest not to get discouraged but it is very hard! So I decided to take measurements the other day and I think at the end of May I'm going to re take the measurements and see if there's a difference!!!

    As you already know, it takes time to see the big picture. We all want the instantaneous effect, but all the hard work will show up really soon. Look over your non-scale victories too. Like being able to do things at the gym for a longer period of time, heavier weights, etc. You have a great mind set, don't let negative thoughts jump in and take over. You are doing so well, just keep it up and before you know it, you've done it! emoticon emoticon

Remember, the scale honestly is nothing compared to inches you may be losing! Start measuring yourself weekly! Waist, bust, hips, arms, neck and you will see results! It is VERY possible you have been gaining muscle with all the working out you have been doing!!

Lost

I'm lost beyond lost. I'm a stay at home mom my husband works very hard to provide for us but it's not enough. We have a shut off notice for our electricity for tomorrow, we have a 3 day notice from our landlord if we don't pay $859 by Friday their starting the eviction process... As of right now we have $9 to our name. We need diapers, gas for the car (actually a new car since ours won't pass inspection and it's going to cost us a grand or more to fix it...). I don't know what to do right now... We've struggled in the past but never this badly. I've put all my chips in God's basket and I know somehow it'll work out but it's very hard to have a positive thought when all the odds are against you. On that note I hope you my sparkfriend reading this doesn't think differently of me. I'm a good mom I really am!

    As far as the electricity, see if your community has a program to help you out. The utility should know who to contact. You may want to see if a local church could help with a little and may some other organization, like St Vincent. Keep you chin up. You'll make it, one way or another. emoticon

A New Year A New Me!

So most people make New Years Resolution "I wanna lose weight, Go on a diet, etc." Well this year I decided screw that!!! I do the same thing as a bunch of people kick butt the first week and then get bored and go back to my normal routine! Well not this time not me!!

So here are my goals for the coming year!(See that smart move there I said goal not resolution lol)
Be healthy (make healthier decisions)
Have patience
Be a better mommy
Work on my marriage (This is an important one, me becoming healthier is slowly being a drain on our marriage, I think it's the lack of support)
Be a cleaner person!
Be a better person!

Well there you have it my goals for the year!! And I can count on 1 hand how many times I've worked out in the year 2014 and I know that's not great but I think to myself there are people out there that haven't worked out once this year so I'm ahead of them already!!! I'm not going to dive in head first and go straight hard core because then I'll give up, Like I said! I'm making my goal small workout everyday even if it's just for a few minutes!

The best part is I got Jillian Michael's Ab Killer for Christmas! SWEET!!! Only thing is I'm dying to get T25 and some weights!!! I've been using my 2 boys! 4 month old (18lbs) and 2 years old (29lbs)! Today I bench pressed each child and did reverse crunches with them on my legs! (oy vey!)

So with all that said I'm attending a friend's wedding July 27, 2014 that is 28 weeks away!! This girl is going to work hard to become much healthier by then!!! I'd like to aim high and say 50 pounds but that's really stretching it for me since I have trouble working out everyday!!! So I'll say 30 pounds that's a little under 5 pounds a month! Now no one knows how much I weigh besides me and my spark people account! But I will tell you (please don't tell my husband and friends I would just die!! It's just between you and me! Thanks :-p) I weigh approximately 241.6 pounds at least that's what it said the last time I weighed myself!(Which I'm going to try and and only do once a month) So maybe if I could get down to 200 that'd be pretty cool to!!!
