Summer semester is done and life is good!

Saturday, June 20, 2009

I finished my semester last Saturday and have been recovering ever since. I think I just hit the proverbial wall and it's taken me a whole week to feel sorta normal again. I am so flippin' happy that I decided to not finish my degree this summer. I'd already be in class again! I'm ready to relax and enjoy my family and friends again! We have a packed summer ahead but it's all fun stuff that I'm looking forward to.

We went to the pool today with the kids and they are turning into good little swimmers. They are really at a fun age right now: Benjamin is 6 and Lila will turn 3 in July. It's getting easier for me as they get older and more able to do things for themselves.

It's great that you have the summer to look forward to and time to spend with the kids. That was awesome planning on your part!! Soon enough you'll be working, they'll be growing...so it's important to enjoy them while you can...those are great ages!!
I've hit that same wall these past few days...hope I find the catch that opens the secret passage through it....soon!! emoticon

Yeah! Last week of my semester!!!

Monday, June 08, 2009

I have had so much fun in this class (Applied Technology in Library Practice) and truly I wish that it had been offered in a whole 15 week semester as opposed to this crazy 3.5 week Maymester. That being said, I will be very, very, happy on Saturday when this class is officially over and I have 2 whole months off from school. In the fall I have two more classes and then I'll be DONE. emoticon

Tuesday: no exercise
Wednesday: 3 miles with Leslie (3# weights) (50 min)

I'm feeling good about getting this much cardio in considering my uber busy school schedule right now. Honestly, I feel like that helped my stress level!

Great job getting back into the Cardio. Even better that you didn't let your schedule prevent you from getting it in!!!

Good job this wk! I've had the crud, so I haven't been able to kick it up that much, but I have done some ST, walking, & biking.

The beginning of summer at home with the kids

Sunday, May 24, 2009

I'm looking forward to being done with this Maymester class (although it's really fascinating) so that I can focus on hanging out with my 6 year old son and my nearly 3 year old daughter for two whole months. I'm perpetually busy with grad school and am excited to not have something hanging over my head all the time. Hanging out at the park and going swimming every day sounds like lots of fun to me!

I love summer. Hubby is a teacher, so it's nice being able to go & do what we want, when we want (well, for the most part).

Hope U have a great 2 months with your kids!

Hugs,
Ruth
