Keepin' On Keepin' ON

Monday, March 03, 2014

Ever wonder why certain things happen to you or in your life?

Many times we wonder: Why me?

I have come to believe that usually there are two reasons: One is God is allowing it for you to stretch and mature in faith in a certain area of your life, whether or not you asked Him to help you; the second is it is a part of life-something that could happen to anyone at anytime.

What is our goal? To do what we are convicted and convinced of is the Right thing to do with joy and a smile on our face and more importantly in our hearts. For that is our true witness in life and showing God how much we love Him, by loving others and keepin' on keepin' on-Not Giving Up or In!

This is praying for all of you and myself strength, joy, love, and perseverance.

Very true statements - there are a lot of times when we need to learn something but don't even KNOW that we do - God knows what's best.

De-greaser-Not a protein drink!

Saturday, January 11, 2014

My husband frequently brings me home iced tea in his water cup. Today, my manager had brought us all pasties for lunch and I was finishing mine up while waiting on my husband to run an errand. Well, of course I got thirsty, so I picked up his water cup to take a drink of what I thought was tea and OMGosh! to my Very unpleasant surprise it was industrial strength de-greaser! I was mortified, terrified, and yes. I will make up the word: Sickiefied! We called his boss who checked the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and found that it is organic and I will live. Still........yeah, enough said! emoticon

Oh that sounds nasty! At least it wasn't something hideously chemical that would have really messed you up.

Something similar happened to my nephews - my sister used to take her drinks to parties mixed already in a soda bottle - the kids all swore they never drank her soda but one day ALL FIVE boys came in to tell her the soda had gone bad - it was mixed with rum and they all got caught. They weren't poisoned but became much more careful of what they drank that was not sealed.

Silly Cat!

Wednesday, January 08, 2014

So, this may seem silly, that's because it is!, but part of being healthy is to laugh! Everyday that I am able to play around on the computer, if I am on it when my 1 1/2 year old cat wants my attention, he jumps up on my lap and then immediately throws himself backwards into my right elbow crook like how you would hold a real baby! I am NOT kidding. He starts purring real loud and closes his eyes like he has already drifted off to dream land. Cracks me up! If I try to move I get the evil part one eyed stare, that is because he is disabled and only has partial vision in one eye, but he KNOWS HOW TO USE IT! Then he will jump down and run off as if to say: Forget you! only to come back and do it ALL over again in about two to three minutes. He makes me laugh every single time. It has become our "ritual" if you will.

What takes place in your life that brings you a nice, healthy giggle, or full blown laugh? I would like to read about it!
