Contest results awards finale today....

I did end up with 1st place in the competition with 19.6% weight loss in 12 weeks (May, June & July). My team was also 1st place. There were 14 teams and 120 individual competitors. I work for an awesome company who does a lot for it's employees.

September changes

I changed my hair color to red. It is drastic, but it really worked for me. Change is good. I also went into hiatus after the weightloss competition. I am back to working out & making better choices for food. The finale for the contest awards are Monday September 16th. I heard it through my old supervisor that I won it again. I guess we'll see.
I hope everyone is having a great start to their September.

3 month contest final measurements

Body fat - Start 35.9% Final 27.6%
Chest- 44 39.5
Waist- 40 37
Hips- 45 39
Biceps- 16 14
Thighs- 26 21.5

Total percentage of weightloss 19.57%
This was a 12 week contest. Top place team & individual awards are TBA. I was in 1st place at midway weigh-in. Let's see if that is enough to keep 1st place for $500.

Final count down

Monday morning @ 7am is the final weigh in for the Commit To Be Fit contest @ work. I did have 2 bad weeks, but I have since turned it around. I had to eliminate beans the other day due to serious bloating & just stick to coconut oil, unsweetened almond milk, eggs, olives, limited organic meats & green leafy veggies. This morning, even with my monthly friend, my stomach seems to have shrank a couple of inches. I will get final measurements & weight & post the results next week.

Slow carb & 4HB

I found a link to some information on slow carbing. I am one of those who needs carbs or I get lethargic. I have started getting my carbs from beans & non-starchy veggies. I cut out bread &, dairy, rice, pasta, etc. I will follow-up with my final weigh-in results next week for the contest & also update on how the slow carb is going after this 1st week.
