Still More Late Night Funny

Monday, September 03, 2012

Amidst the tired rhetoric, empty platitudes, and overwrought attacks, a fistful of awesome emerged in the night where it spent twelve minutes, on the most important night of Mitt Romney's life, yelling at a chair!

Clint was entertaining but, not exactly in the way that he intended. It felt rather like laughing at the ranting old man that lives on every block....shouting at children to "get off of my lawn".

Jon Stuart is brilliantly funny. He really hones in on the ridiculous.

Another Late Night Funny

Monday, September 03, 2012

An all-female rock band from Russia, in a Moscow cathedral, played a protest song about Vladimir Putinís ties to the church. Putinís henchmen tracked them down and threw them in prison. They were charged with hooliganism. Is that a crime? Thatís like being charged with tomfoolery. Or shenanigans. If you donít agree with Putin, you get sent to a gulag. Maybe they shouldíve sung it ironically, sung about the fact that Putin got elected with 140 percent of the vote.

I am, once again, ashamed of the Orthodox church. They supported the tsars, and now they support this "puttana". Think I'll become a Unitarian.....

If your party can run the nation for eight years, and then have a national convention and not invite Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Karl Rove or Tom DeLay, you're not a political movement. You're the witness protection program.

The Roots of Obama's Rage

"This book sounds like a lot of bull pucky to me. First of all, Obama had met his father but did not have enough time with him to get this rage the book talks of. Secondly, why would a person with this kind of rage work in Chicago the way he did before even getting his law degree? Does not compute. Be not fooled. The American Dream was chipped away by bought politicians who let reasonable government regulations on banking and wall street expire in favor of the rich. And that's where we should feel the rage. Let history decide, but I am voting for Obama again, because the alternative is death to many vulnerable Americans. Mark my words.

One star for good looking cover."

LOL...."one star for good looking cover" Don't judge a book by it's good looking cover....it might be nothing but, the ranting of a third rate hack.

I too, wonder how much negative influence Barack Obama's father could have had. Obama Sr. was absent from his life....mostly all of his life. The lack of his father's attention could be what drives President Obama to help those that lack the resources that could make them successful.

Living in Illinois, I have watched Barack Obama's progress. From the beginning I was impressed by his character. Are you aware that at one point, the Republicans brought in a "carpet bagger" from Maryland...Alan Keyes to run against him for the Senate. Obama trounced him "In the November 2004 general election, Obama received 70% of the vote to Keyes's 27%, the largest victory margin for a statewide race in Illinois history"

It's incredible to me that lengths that the right has gone to paint this false picture of of our President. They must really feel threatened. It also proves that have nothing for us, nothing to make us want to vote for them so they resort to fabrications, innuendo and misdirections to scare people into thinking Obama is dangerous. What a bunch of HOOEY!

    You're fabulous.

They think that fear is going to win them the Presidency. I'm afraid too. I'm afraid of them and their hysterical pathological racist anger.

Their convention said it all. They are the party of old rich white men.

There are a lot of books and even a couple of movies with this kind of drivel. I look at the authors name and pass on the hating of our first multi-race president. Also voting for Obama, because the alternative seems to be returning to the past where everybody knew their place and stayed there.

And vote we will. Interestingly enough, all of this republican whining just strengthens the resolve of the Democrats. They have not been this unified in a long time.
