DH left at 5;00 am to deer hunt !

Monday, November 29, 2010

Well this is a very special time for DH . We got up at 3;45 this morning and i fixed him 2 eggs homefries bacon and biscuit for breakfast then he went out and milked the goats and took care of his animals. I offered to do that for him but he loves to do it. One time he told me he does his feeding as slow as possible because he hates to see it when he is done ! But for you who don't know it he got real sick about 8 years ago and we had to sell our home and everything and move in a mobile home park. We lived there for 4 years but he was depressed and we were gone all the time because he was use to having rabbits chickens ducks ect ect and was lost without them. Then 2 years ago in May the place we are living at came up for sale and the Lord worked it out that we got it. His health had improved and i made up my mind if we had to hire someone to keep it up at least he could have his animals. The rest is history he is happier than i have seen him in 38 years. He says God has gave him his dream back one more time. And he is right. I just pray he gets thru deer season safe and would love to see him get a deer .Please pray all week thru saturday i will let you know if he get one !Have a good day !While he is gone i am taking a pajami day and doing whatever strikes me! emoticon

It's amazing how taking care of animals is so healing. Three years ago my DH almost died (heart) but the Lord wasn't ready for him to go home. Within days of being released from the hospital he was out taking care of all the farm animals. He said he needed to take care of them to feel better. I sure hope your DH gets his deer!

Awe - I have tears of joy for your DH. It was good that he got his dream back.

I prayed a prayer for him. Do keep us posted. I know how you worry but try not to worry today and keep him in God's Hands.

Hugs, Sunny

Where did Noverber go ? They tell me the older you get the faster life goes ! I hope not because it goes so fast now i can't get ready for one thing till something else happens. I like the slow pace country life myself ! I am not really hept on going where there is a croud although the grand-daughter is graduating from lpn school the 10 th of December and we will be going to that ! How could we not she worked so hard and we are proud of her. Got my Christmas tree up and thats one thing i love if i had my way i would leave it up all year! It's a end table fibroptic tree we got years ago in the Amish country . Another great memory day for us we sure had a good time that day but every day is special to us ! DH is getting ready to go DH tomarrow he is so excited i just pray for his safety and a deer ! emoticon God is good if he don't get a deer that will be ok to maybe the other guy needed it to feed his family ! Well getting ready for church you have a great day and don't forget to take time to tell the Lord how much you love and appreciate him. He gives us life and breath. emoticon

It seems like the years just fly by as you get older. I remember when I was younger and I thought Christmas would never come. Now it seems like Christmas was only yesterday, and it's coming again real soon. I will be praying for safety for your DH and that he is able to get a deer. Take care of yourself and have a wonderful week.

emoticon i'm really not a football fan but DH don't know that! emoticon i guess that is part of being his best friend. Of course we got a great grandson that 10 tells papa that michigan 's gonna beat Ohio State ! emoticon He can get by with that and still stay on papa's good side funny how kids can do that ! emoticon Anyway the guy that is letting DH hunt on his ground gave him some deer steaks so i am going to fix them for his dinner while he is watching the game with green peppers and onion on them. Fry some potato cakes with about half onion fix some fried corn and fried bread and shoe fly pie for dessert ! Wondering what i will eat aren't you! emoticon well maybe a little of the steak to make DH happy ! emoticon I am to please besides the Lord which he is always first in my life then DH comes as runner up i would give my life for him he is my best friend here on earth. Someone said wonder if he wants to mount the head if he catches a deer and wants to hang it in the living room . I said thats ok with me if he wants to put it in the shower i don't care anything to make him happy ! I try to live my life that way with everyone i come in contact with as much as possible. We have church tonight so got to go but have a good day! emoticon

Their defense started off slow, but it has come alive. Go Buckeyes! I want Penn State wo win over Mich Stte, that will help Ohio State, but doesn't look too promising. Clemson and Carolina play tonight I am not for either one, but Carolina has an attitude since they have done well this year, so I think I will be for Clemson. Enjoy! emoticon

Thanksgiving is over and it was a great day ! My step-daughter and step-son both come and we had such a good visit! I got off track on the sweets a little because of DH and i 's traditions but feel good about that because we really made some good memories that will be with us the rest of our lives ! I thought alot about what i want to accomplish yesterday as far as losing weight and i really would like to lose 10 more lbs. so i am going to go on weight watchers new plan that comes out tuesday and i will be getting weighted every tuesday for the month of December. Don't know if it will work or not but i am going to give it a try. I know i will have to do this the rest of my life but it''s worth it to me health wise. I also know if i hadn't found sparkpeople and spent alot of time focusing on my weight loss i would have been a mess health wise. I speak of weight watchers only because i am a life time member and it's free for me but SPARKPEOPLE is why and how i lost the weight and accomplished what i have this year! Dec 4 i will be celebrating a year and i want to buy me something special that day that i can keep to celebrate being here a year as a reminder where i have come from! Have a good day and don't give up ! Anyone who reads this i just want you to know i have started a team called God Answers Prayer and it 's a great bunch of girls that are sincere about serving the Lord and losing weight and getting heathy and we try daily to click on the site and pray for each other that today each one will accomplish both in their lives that day. Great way to grow in the Lord and lose weight. I personally scroll down to the members and put my hand over the screen where their names and pictures are and pray for them and then wait for God guidance and do whatever God leads me to do sometimes nothing else then other times maybe send one of them a sparkgoodie saying you can do this! I love it now we have a page 2 of members how cool is that ! God is good and i wouldn't want to try to do this without him. Have a good day and don't give up ! emoticon emoticon

Thought i better get sparkpeople done before the day really starts moving! emoticon Last night i baked 2 pumpkin pies and DH and my tradition is to have a piece before we go to bed ! emoticon This year i bought weight watcher desserts 2 in a package and thought i would eat that instead but DH said as soon as they were done you gonna have a piece of pumpkin pie with me its our tradition ! If i would have said no it would have broke his heart he looks forward to that so i cut the small shallow pie into 8 pieces and had a cup of coffee with him. He was happy! Well first thing this morning he said we gonna have a piece of pumpkin pie with our coffee its tradition ? emoticon I said ok but it was another little piece . I got thinking about it and tradition is important to him . His only sister and siblin and mom and dad has passed away and he has a boy and girl and grandkids living and me. He will be 75 in January and has went thru alot physically the past 6 years . I am thankful to have him and the rest of the family to share a piece of pie with. I won't go overboard but will enjoy today because we might not get that privilege next year ! Have a great Thanksgiving and enjoy your family while you can. emoticon

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Vicki. May you and your DH have many more to share. You are doing great at portion control. Don't be too concerned about sharing a little dessert with your DH.

You have learned something important--things are about being in control and managing portions. As for pumpkin pie, we have 2 of them as well--and this year, I didn't do the baking (yay!!)
I hope that your Thanksgiving is loving and fun--like your Thanksgiving tradition with your husband. Happy day!!
