Electric was out @ 14 hours !

I live in Ohio and we had a storm yesterday afternoon ! Our electric went out about 2 pm until this morning about 3 am then we had no cable or internet ! emoticon Went to weight watchers last night and got KFC grilled chicken dinner! Got to go running way behind on spark and got church shortly have a good day ! emoticon

    Wow. Glad it's back on. I always pray ours doesn't do that. Temperatures below zero without electricity aren't any fun. Enjoy church.

    Sorry about your electric. We had high winds all day and tornadoes a few miles away. Many people without power but fortunately nobody was seriously hurt. Wisconsin weather is so unpredictable!

    well read my blog and you'll see how my day without electric yesterday went lol.I live in england and there was a fault spread all through my town no one had power but i had a erm day shall we say.

    Sorry to hear about your hours without electricity but happy you are seeong the light again. I read about the awful storms in the midwest. I suppose this was part of that. I never realize how much we dwpwnd on wlwctricity until we have none. emoticon and that is how it is with many things in our lives. The Lord keeps us safe through all of it. emoticon

HAD A 2 LB WEIGHT GAIN FOR OCTOBER !

As bad as i hate to tell you i did gain 2 lbs for October . I always get weighted the last tuesday of the month and thats today ! I went to to many church carry inns and out to eat with friends to often ! I keep a list of day 1-30 and write down when i eat something that isn't a wise choice it puts reality out there in black and white so to speak ! I decided to go back to healthy choice dinners for Novermber they are suppose to be low sodium and no preservatives so i do better that way knowing what i am taking in. I will just be doing them for dinner . Breakfast and lunch and snacks are ok ! I'm trying real hard to not get stressed over this weight gain it's the first time in almost 11 months . Dec 4 th i will be here 1 year ! emoticon emoticon I will do better whatever it takes ! Please keep me in your prayers ! emoticon

    My friend i'm sorry i missed your blogs but kids are off school and i'v had quite the week so far.A 2lb gain is nothing as long as you can brush it aside.I keep gaining the weight i lose back because i'm to concerned about the darn scale instead of those small choices each day which will build a whole life.November is about small steps for both of us and we will achieve much in november together.

    You can do this, one little gain doesn't ruin all the work you've done so far! Next month your WI will be awesome and you'll forget all abouts those 2lbs!
Just remember how far you've already come, 11 months with no gain is awesome!!

Where did last week go to i turned around and it was gone ! Went back over my food log and see alot of things i shouldn't have ate in restraunts ! Today we are going for a ride to see the leafs if its pretty out and will be eating lunch out and i am planning on getting an egg and home fries at Bob Evans because i get weighted tomarrow and afraid of bloating or retaining water and i know that won't bother me. Salad meat or fruit will so my choices are limited ! I really dread tomarrow its my weight watchers weigh in for the month ! I think the month of November i will get weighted every tuesday i hate to because i hold fluid and have to cut down on my water intake about Sunday and watch the sodium too even tho i take a water pill. But i feel i will be more countable to eat better if i committ to getting weighted every Tuesday . I also am going to read spark book again and try to get off of tv dinners even tho they are healthy choice and the sodium is low in them and suppose to be all natural it's not as healthy as my own cooking ! Saw a saucer at wal-mart i am thinking about buying to eat out of its small cheap and has fall leaves all over it . Thinking it might help me to keep focused i don't know just a thought! Anybody got any dinner ideas to help me keep on track i do good with snacks breakfast and lunch ! Horrible with restraunts and dinner meals ! I usually get stressed about 4 oclock and want to take off and eat out . I don't know why i like to cook and i like my cookin and i am ok after i get fixing it ! I know thats weird but i am just being honest ! I don't like being that way either. I think my sugar drops about that time because the last few days about 4 oclock i spread 1 cracker with a little peanut butter and eat it and i get better dealing with it but still would eat out if it weren't for wasting money and knowing its not healthy for me and it sabbatages my health and weight loss plan ! emoticon lifes tough i just got to be tougher ! emoticon gone to see 90 year old today and taking her flowers; she was told saturday she couldn't go back home so i thought the flowers might help her today ! I have nothing to complain about so far i have been able to stay in my home and do what i want but if the day comes that i can't i hope i can still be happy till the day i die because we got to live till we die we just got to accept what comes our way and do the best we can . Have a great day and don't give up i know i am not going to whatever it takes to be happy is what i plan to do . emoticon

    I like cooking, and have found some great recipes, but for some reason eating out tastes better. It is also easier at the end of the day. You might try the crockpot. That way your dinner is made in the morning when you aren't tempted to go out, and it is ready when you are ready to eat. Sounds like a good plan for weighing yourself each week next month. One of the other teams I am on is doing a "Last one out..." challenge. We weigh in each week. I've done well so far. I'm worried about this week. We are having dinner at church all week, and we usually have a snack when we get home from church.

    I like light string cheese sticks for a snack, they are good on protein. I understand the draw of eating out, but you can't control what goes in your food that way. Be strong, you can do it! emoticon

    hang in there! Use the recipes on the Spark site for something "new" sometimes. I also like the website "Saving Dinner" Savingdinner.com for a weeks worth of recipes in about any category imaginable. The author is Leann Ely and you can subscribe or by any book based on her categories of cooking interest. She includes shopping lists and meal plans for a full week or one version has a way to cook for a week at a time, still with nutritional info.
I have her Saving Dinner cook book & though I don't cook all the recipes, there were lots of new ones for me to fall in love with and get variety!

    Nothing beats home cooking and all the extra prep is extra cals burnt first.I know where your coming from but i make a concious effort to ensure i can't eat out then i have to make the choices better myself.

Sabbath day !

We won't get to go to church today because DH is still sick and don't want to give whatever he has to anyone else ! It's rare we miss church usually we go at least 4 times a week so it's gonna be a long day but it will be a good one i'm sure ! Really proud of the team God Answers Prayer we are really commuticating and getting to know each other ! This is so nice to have others that you know are praying for you daily ! Tuesday i get weighted for the month and as always i am not looking forward to it. Don't know about the lbs but i have lost several inches this month because the close i took up last month needs taken up again ! emoticon So i am happy about that. I know i need to improve on eating more vegetables and fruit! Took a small carton of cool whip and 2 cans of crushed pineapple drained and 1/2 packet of pastacho pudding dry and mixed them together last night divided it into 12 servings and put in the freezer thats 100 calories each. My DH and i both enjoy it frozen . I know i could use sugar free cool whip and pistacho pudding and cut the calories but i am trying to quit artifical sweetners. Even splenda i use raw sugar . Changed over to decaffinate green tea when i drink something instead of water but i usually drink water ! Have a good day and remember the Lord on this beautiful day emoticon

Today is a hard day for me and DH . The 90 year old lady thats like a grandma to us is going to be told today that she can't go back home at the end of the month ! emoticon If i was able i would go to her house and take care of her till she died but i am having a tough time myself. Please pray for her. She lived in the same house for over 50 years and only 16% of her heart is working ! On the lighter side Ron that has cancer has gained 1 1/2 lbs this week he has been able o drink the goats milk that we been giving him. He will know next week if the cemo is working for him. He needs prayer to. Dh is sick with a cold or something so we had to council out on 2 church services but he will be better hopefully by the first of the week! I am doing laundry , washed a couple windows and making bread for DH. Got porkchops for supper and gonna play the piano while the ohio state game is on today ! Hope they do better than last week ! Have a good weekend and don't give up ! Choose to be happy today no matter what !

    I'm a big believer in being positive and never giving up on things no matter how hopeless they seem.God has a plan for everyone we as his children have to learn how to deal with them.Perhaps your friend will do much better in care of others and she just needed some one else to decide for her we don't always know whats best for us.

It's great news things are looking up in other areas take good care of yourself and life will work it's self out.
