I got started with exercise at home, using the vacuum hose to clean the spider, dust and cat hair around the ceilings of my house. Drat that long haired cat Rusty!
Finally got in a walk in warm sunlight! I walked to the library to return a book and sat and read today's newspaper. Then I set out on my brisk walk with a small timer. I walked 5 minutes, ran 1 min, then walked 4 mins and ran 1 min until I was too hot and sweaty to run any more.
I put in a total of 75 minutes by the time I got home. Then I went to Curves for my workout. Along the lake I saw many newly dropped walnuts still with their green covers. I also spotted my first woolly caterpillar! On 4th St there is one Ohio Buckeye tree that is dropping it's beautiful brown nuts. At first I had thought they were chestnuts, and got excited! But no, they're inedible. Such a shame!
Naturally, on my way back home, I stopped at my favorite snack place, the split rail fence with the luscious grapes.
Another good walk! A total of 8636 steps for the walk and 12275 steps and 6.97 miles for the day. WooHoo!

Today was not a day of rest, for sure! My neighbor is letting me use his trailer to haul all my yard waste away to the county compost site. He had left it too close to the street. I had to finagle it a bit, back up my driveway till I had enough room to back my car in without blocking traffic. Then I loaded all my bags of waste into it and what leaves I had.
An aside:- I always like to plant something new each year, last year it was tomatillos. They turned out great, growing in a large pot. This year I tried ground cherries and they are delicious nibbles the size of yesterday's Concord grapes. I nibbled them before I tackled the raspberry project.
Then it was time to cut back and prune my raspberries for the winter. I WAS able to eat about a handfull, the last of the season. I got about 2/3s done and it got too dark to see. I loaded all the trimmings on a tarp and hauled it out of my neighbor's drive and into mine. Then it was time to collect the trash and recycling and get it all to the curb for tomorrow's pickup. I cleaned out the cats' litterboxes also and added that to the trash.
I ate some dinner and then took a chunck of delicious French bread to nibble on my walk. It was full dark by then so I added my reflective gear and a small light and I was off to get my 3 miles in. I went a different direction than before, so no grapes this time. I also hoped to snag a Sunday paper along the way. The route was longer than I thought, but I did find a paper at a SuperAmerica on my way back! The walk 72 min and 62 were Vigorous according to my GWF!
The Link to tonight's walk is huge, but if you copy and paste all of it, it will get you to the map!
I will well tonight!
