I believe in Miracles!

The pregnancy test was positive although the HGH was not as high as the doctors wanted so they will run the test again first thing Monday morning.

We feel good and remain hopeful. A big Thank You to every one for your prayers and Amens! Please keep Carrie in your prayers for the next few days.

Hugs, Sunny (aka Grammy)

A Dream is a Wish the Heart Makes

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Today is the day we find out if the invitro has taken. Carrie, obviously is anxious - as we all are to some extent. I am praying God's will on this. He knows the desires of her heart so I pray if it is so, that He gives her this one desire. God Bless Carrie and give her strength and courage to face the events of this day. In His precious Name, I pray.

Amen

Dirt Fever

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

I have had an extreem case of dirt fever today so have been shopping my favorite sites on the WWW. Johnny Seeds has some great new sunflower varieties as does Jung.

I ordered The Sunrich Series from Johnny Seeds. The Sunrich Orange was definitely calling my name. From Jung, I ordered both the new red varieties - Cherry Rose and Ruby Moon.
From Renee's Garden, I ordered Chocolate Cherry and Cinnamon Sun.

> - Ruby Moon

- Cherry Rose

I must say - my spirits are soaring! I can hardly wait.

My Father - My Hero

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

We went to Kansas over the weekend and saw my Father and Step Mother. My father looked so thin, frail, and weak - something I had not seen before. It is so difficult to see your parents health deteriorating. He has always been so strong. I am still a little emotional but also hopeful that he will continue to work with his physical therapist and get stronger one day at a time. I had planned to take him to his Family reunion in Texas in April but my step mother has said she does not think he can make the trip. He, of course, is saying he can. I am praying and hoping that he will ralley enough to be able to make the trip. God's Grace is new each day and he is the master Physician so am praying for the best in the days to come. For anyone reading this Blog, please keep my Father in your prayers. Thanks so much!

Blessings, Sunny

Prayers go out to you Sunny! You are so very lucky to have been able to visit your Dad this weekend. I miss my Dad dearly but know that he is with me daily.

Thank you for being a wonderful blessing to your garden on the web over at Veggies and Blooms. I don't know if I ever told you that I appreciate being your 'spark buddy' this month.
Keep on Sparkin'!

P.S. that is a wonderful photo of your Dad!

Hoping and praying for the best with your father'and his health. I also am watching my dad getting on in age and it just breaks my heart. I can't imagine life without him.
BTW, I am in your neck of the woods, IL, with my daughter.
Thinking of you, Connie

Other than looking thin, frail and weak how is his spirit? He looks good in the pic. That was the first thing I thought when I saw the pic.
My grandfather is 83 and he's healthy, but tired. Just plain ol' tired. I suppose when we get on in age we'll understand.
My prayers are with you and your family.

    Dear Sunny,
It is hard to see our loved ones getting older. I will pray for you, your Dad and your step-Mom. LIfe sometimes isn't easy but I have learned that with family, friends and prayer we don't have to go it alone.

Oh goodness sweet pea, I sincerely know your heartache. Comfort & a sense of calmness is what you & your family need during a time like this. You are right, God's Grace is new each day and he is the master Physician, keep the faith.

Hard Work and Persistence

Wednesday, February 04, 2009

My Father's Desk - a Symbol of Hard Work
and Persistence

Sunshine filtered through the window
Displaying a desk that was very old
Collecting dust from over the years
With so many secrets gone untold.
.......

What a wonderful gift from my Father - the desk that sat in his office for
40+ years. As he and my stepmother were downsizing this year, he made
a decision to give me this desk as a gift. I am so honored and will treasure
it for years to come.

It is truly an inspiration to me every day that Hard Work and Persistence
does pay off. His success in his business and personal life reflected this
mantra.
