Thankful but ready to be back to normal

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Well I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and of course I ate too much on Turkey Day. I did better than last year but I still overindulged on the desserts and sweet potato casserole:) Oh well it was worth it.
I went shopping with my sister and brother on Black Friday. I'm glad I wasn't banking on getting too many of my gifts that day. I'm not one to get up at 4am to shop so I wasn't lucky enough to find the gifts I wanted for the kids. I'll just get them a different day. It was fun getting to hang out with my sister and brother even if it was in crowded malls and stores:)
Saturday wasn't a good day. First my son was up most of the night unhappy about something and than half way through the night my stomach started hurting. Needless to say I was SICK for all of Sat. My son didn't eat much and than my daughter started feeling ill in the late afternoon. We were all in bed and sleeping before 9pm and than didn't get out of bed until around 7:45am. Today we are all just about back to normal but still eating on the light side.
I guess it was a good holiday and now it's back to school and no time off until Christmas.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a great week:) emoticon emoticon

Short School Week, Long Food Week

Monday, November 23, 2009

Well I can say that I overdid my weekend. Too much eating other peoples good food and not enough paying attention to what I should be eating, but all is well I'm staying on track for the next 3 days so that by the Big Turkey Day I should be able to have a balance and not go over to badly. In other words, I trying to save up a few calories and work out a little more to balance the inevitable overeating, which I am HOPING to not give in to. I'll keep you posted on that goal:)

It's a short school week, which is nice, but I think the kids have already left of the week, and it's only Monday. If I can just keep some of them on task, it should be a great week. I'm definitely not complaining about the short week, I can't wait to have time with the kids and do a little shopping with my sister and brother.

Well I'm off to my basketball games, hopefully all goes well. I'm missing 3 of my 8th grade starters, off to an Honor's Band concert, which is great for them, not so good for the team. But who knows, maybe it will a winning night without them or at least not a slaughter emoticon
Have a happy Turkey Day and be thankful for all the wonderful things you have! emoticon emoticon

Positive day but no wins

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Well it wasn't our day to win. The first game wasn't even close, the 2nd we lost in overtime by 1 point, and the by the 3rd game, in a row, the girls were tuckered out. Yet they were happy and having fun, which is more important to me than winning. There's enough time to worry about winning when they play high school sports.
Beyond basketball everything is ready for the party tomorrow so tonight I can hopefully get some papers graded so I have less to do this school week.
I am ready to get back on track again. I have been being pretty lax about my calorie intake and I haven't been obsessing over things, but I want to get to my goal weight by my birthday in January so I redid my BMI and have a new program going to get my to where I want to be. Don't get me wrong I'm happy were I am but I'm trying to get re-motivated and actually get to the goal weight I sent when I started on this site in May, which puts me at 6 months on the site WOW!!
Best wishes to all and have a wonderful Sunday:)

Wow your birthday is in January! Mine too, the 14th. And my son will be one on the 14th too. He was my present this year! LOL! He popped out exactly at 12:01! Little stinker!

A day off but not

Friday, November 13, 2009

Well I didn't have school today but I spent the better part of the day cleaning the house and doing laundry. I needed to clean the house for William's party on Sunday, and I knew it would take me awhile, since I haven't done a through cleaning since school started. I accomplished my goal! I cleaned, swept and mopped the entire downstairs and did 7 loads of laundry. I still have some laundry to fold and my bed to make but I feel like I got everything done I needed to. I even got to the grocery store, bank and post office today and now I'm tuckered out.
I do only have my son tonight, since MIL took my daughter for the night and will get her to her dance class tomorrow, since I'll be at my tournament. Being one child down should mean a peaceful evening but even now my son is still up and he doesn't look to be slowing down:(
Well a wonderful weekend to you all and I'll keep you posted on the outcome of the tournament.

Seven loads of laundry! You either have athletes in the family, young children, or you're taking it in from the neighbors :) I despise laundry. Actually, the only part I hate is putting it away. The rest I don't mind at all....

Have a glorious day!

2 losses but a long weekend to enjoy

Thursday, November 12, 2009

I had another basketball game today and both the 7th and 8th graders lost. The 7th grade was beaten by height and the 8th graders just beat themselves. It could have a been worse but the 8th grader girls were really frustrated in themselves, hopefully I can build up their confidence on the way to the tournament on Sat.
As for the long weekend, I don't have school tomorrow~Yippee!!. It's the SD high school football playoffs, and even though our school isn't playing the school has figured the day off into the school calendar. I actually don't have any more Fridays this month. Next Friday is off for State Volleyball and then it's Thanksgiving!
I would say that I'm relaxing this weekend, but I have to clean house tomorrow for William's party, which we are having on Sunday due to my basketball tournament. So tomorrow I clean, Sat I leave and 8:30 am for an all day tournament and then Sunday I get a house full of guests. It will be a busy but fun weekend.
Hope all is well in Sparkpeople world. Take care:) emoticon
