Swimming Lessons Day 1

Monday, July 12, 2010

Today was the kids' first day of swimming lesson, Josephine's 3rd year but William's 1st. both kids did well and had a good time. Josephine was a little cold, but she made it through and was happy to come home and take a warm shower. Lesson continue through this Thursday and than again next week Monday through Thursday. It's something we really want the kids doing, but adding that along to our other have-tos, and I'll be running around the next 2 weeks. Such is Life! emoticon
I have a few more errand to do today and my little brother's baseball game to go to tonight. Luckily I got my cardio and crunches in this morning, so I'll be able to get everything accomplished and enjoy the rest of the day with the kids. emoticon
Have a Magnificent Monday and that's for stopping in! emoticon

The day after

Sunday, July 11, 2010

I had a wonderful night last night. Dinner was great, I love the Mahi Mahi and fresh steamed veggies. I even had a margarita. After dinner we took the Harley over the Dam and enjoyed a little drive before the movie. On that note, my hubby must love me, because it was definitely not his type of movie, but he didn't complain once. He said he was happy being there with me and since I watch his movies, he figured he could watch one of mine. Just in case you missed yesterday's blog, we went to see Eclipse from the Twilight Series. I read all the books and I enjoy watching the movies just to see what is missing from the book, which is always a lot. Yet it was still enjoyable. emoticon
After the movie we headed right home, due to a storm that was coming in. It was supposed to be after midnight before it hit, but of course it was early. emoticon emoticon We were good until 8 miles from home and than the rain started. We were lucky and it wasn't a hard rain, that started about 15 minutes after we got home. It was an experience for me, I've never been on the bike in the rain, but it wasn't too bad.
So last night was wonderful and today has been fairly low key. I did get to drive to Mitchell to pick things up for my husband project today, dismantling the old upstairs sewer pipe. He didn't have enough metal cutting wheels, so the kids and I took the 45 minute drive and picked up a few things and headed right back home. That took up most of the afternoon, but the kids were well behaved so it was o.k.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready for Monday. emoticon

Happy Anniversary!

Saturday, July 10, 2010

Today is my wedding anniversary, 11 year with my wonderful hubby.
emoticon emoticon It doesn't seem like it has been that long already but it's been fantastic, for the most part. emoticon We are getting ready to head out the Harley for dinner and a movie. We decided to stay a little closer to home, which is nice, since I really love the place we are going to for dinner. Their fish selection is WONDERFUL and the atmosphere is relaxing. Than we are going to see Eclipse, my choice of course not his, but he chose the last movie. emoticon It should be a wonderful evening together, and since we didn't get to do this last year, due to his deployment, it will be memorable. Actually all the ones we get to have together are memorable, which is 5 out of 11, due to the Guards. Love the job opportunity for the hubby just not the schedule sometimes.
Anyway, have a Super Saturday and enjoy your loved ones. emoticon

Happy Friday the 9th!

Friday, July 09, 2010

First of all thanks to all you gave me ideas of my blog yesterday. I really appreciate the advice. I guess I'm going to just wait it out and try to stay on track with my calories and see what happen in the next couple weeks. I need to think Fit not Fast!! emoticon
Another beautiful SD day today. Workout out 45 minutes on the elliptical and than did 200 crunches. Cleaned up upstairs a little and than a short walk with the kids.
Of course we went to the pool today. emoticon The weather was perfect, minus a few clouds, but the kids enjoyed it and so did I. emoticon
No big plans for the evening, except grilling pork chops and maybe getting in another walk, minus kids this time. It will be my 11th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting out on the Harley and going to dinner and a movie. Not sure yet if we are heading North or South, but I'm planning accordingly so I can enjoy dessert!! emoticon
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for checking in!! emoticon

Super Summer day but I need some advice:~)

Thursday, July 08, 2010

Another Super Summer Day! emoticon
I got up and ran just under 4 miles today, outside, which makes it a little harder on me. I'm still working on judging my speed, but my time was good, so it was still good. emoticon I came home and did my strength training and than went for a walk with the kids.
After lunch the kids and I went to the pool for about 2 hours and than it was back home to prepare rhubarb to make a Rhubarb/Strawberry Crunch. I was just going to freeze it but my DH wanted that instead, which is fine but so far I'm the only one who has ate any of it. emoticon
I've really been trying to reign myself in and cut more calories out of my day, I'm just not doing a very good job. I've hit a plateau and I don't know what else to do, but cut my calories. I've changed up my cardio and I don't know what else to do, so if any one has any ideas, I'd gladly hear them. emoticon
Thanks for the help and have a Fantastic Friday!! emoticon emoticon

Don't cut your calories too much, especially with doing all that running and cardio.

Give it some time on your changes you have made. It will start to show if that is what you needed to do to break this stand still. I have had several different stand stills and have done the changes to my fitness routine as well as increasing and decreasing my calorie intake. It did help me to jump start the losing again, but we have to learn to have patience and it will happen. Have a great Friday and stay strong and keep on Sparking.
