Hanging in there...

Friday, January 22, 2010

I managed to get off track there for the longest, but I think I may be able to move forward and get back with it. I'm going to give it a try anyway, so we'll see what happens. Giving up is not an option, I have to do this! emoticon emoticon

Thanksgiving Day...

Saturday, November 22, 2008

I just love Thanksgiving Day and I was born on that day as well. I guess I sure screwed things up for Mom that year! It brings back a lot of wonderful memories like helping Mom cook a huge feast for all of us kids, and what a feast it was! Thank goodness it only comes once a year!

Thanksgiving is the only holiday where big thighs are a good thing! :) emoticon

Every meal used to be big in our house. We had meat, potatoes, two or three kinds of vegetables and some kind of desert. And at Thanksgiving and Christmas, there was so much food, you could not eat one of everything. Our family,, including Aunt, Uncles, Grandparents and of course cousins all go together. Finally it got to be over 100 people and we turned it into a family reunion instead ( in the summer). I miss those holidays, but everyone brought food, cookies, pies, cakes etc and that is how I got in this shape LOL.
It brings back a lot of memories. Thanks, Pam

Congratulations. That is awesome. I love my grandkids. I have 4. It is such a great time in your life when you get to hold the first one. They are all so great, but you never forget that first time. Pam

Fall '08 is here...

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

I just love the fall weather, the colorful leaves are so pretty and the brisk cool air seems to energize the soul after a long, hot summer, but I get an overwhelming urge to cook and bake goodies. The trouble with that is I like to sample and eat whatever I cook! :(

And then there are the cold dreary days like today. It's raining and cold outside, so I won't be able to work outdoors. I just hope that I can keep losing or at least maintain my weight loss until we get past the upcoming holidays. We shall see!

You can do this! Just keep taking one step after another. Don't look at the big picture. Look at each pound off as a stepping stone to another. I started doing a lot of strength exercises and it put on weight but everyone tells me, it will drop, it is muscle weight. I don't use weights though. I just do the exercises I can. I love wall pushups. I do 60 at a time. It really hurts your arms and even feel the pull in your legs but the more exercises I do the better I feel. If you have trouble, email me and we can keep each other from slipping too much. Just believe in yourself! You can do it! We can do it! Pam
