An awesome low carb bread substitute!

So I finally got around to trying another OP recipe. I'm always a little nervous trying a medifast recipe, whether it's using the MF food or a L & G, you never know what you will get. Some of the things I've tried were awful! Some were just ok and I didn't think they were worth the trouble to make again. Some are pretty good and I know I'm going to make them regularly. Every once in awhile though you come across something that is just WOW! One of the things I miss the most on MF is bread. Tonight I made revolution rolls. I've seen the recipe many times but for whatever reason I just never got around to making them. I have to say, WOW! Super easy to make and works very well as a bun. Now it's not exactly like bread but definitely close enough to satisfy my craving. So tonight I had a chicken sandwich for dinner! I should have taken a picture of the sandwich, but I was starving and dug in...LOL I did take a picture of the rolls though. I will definitely make these again!

    Great job on your revolution rolls girl! They look awesome.

I make buffalo tenders in the oven with a side of Bolthouse Farms Yogurt Ranch Dressing. I use the rolls and wrap the buffalo tenders in them and dip em! F'N delicious!

    thanks for posting about these rolls! I googled "revolution rolls", and found a few recipes that are very similar (only variation was 1 egg yolk amount difference) .. I'm definitely going to try these! I've been wheat free for some time now, and I have tried so many variations of almond/coconut bread, without any successes... during the summer when everyone is having b-b-ques is when I miss bread the most.. these look like they would be sturdy enough to hold a burger.

My last go around with MF I didn't experiment much with the MF foods or my L & G. This time I'm going to be a little more adventurous. There are several blogs that have tons of recipes that are OP. Last night I made a chocolate chip shake with the soft bake cookie for my evening snack and it was yummy! Tonight I made Buffalo chicken bites using the parmesan puffs, it was VERY satisfying and I added a ceasar salad to round out the meal. Really nice since the hubby was having wings and I can't tell you how they were calling my name! I felt totally satisfied and didn't feel like I had missed out on a thing. I weigh tomorrow morning and I am excited to see how I've done. I had a terrific weekend and stayed totally OP!! Heres a picture of dinner...

    Yum!! I need to try this, I love buffalo sauce! There is a blog called escape from obesity (yahoo search it) and this lady has lots of great lean and green recipes posted. My fav that she does is the spaghetti squash lasagna.

White knuckled it through yesterday! Ain't gonna lie, it was tough! So day one done and many more to go.... I felt really good when I woke up this morning. Well it's absolutely true that the mornings and afternoons are way easier than the evenings. I can be stomach growling hungry during the day and not be tempted to eat off plan. Come the evening and every tv commercial has me drooling.... staying busy really helped last night. I think it also would help alot if I would go to bed at a decent time. I am in the habit of staying up until the hubs gets home around 2 and I am up by 7:30. I really should be getting at least 7 hrs. I am going to have to work on that. Well, it's taken me 40 minutes to get this much of my blog written as my 3 yr old grandson is determined that I should come play. LOL I've started and stopped twice and I've pretty much lost my train of thought. So it's off to play "cars" eat some lunch and then a nap for the little one, at which time I might get a little spark time in!

    Did you get your medifast food already? Hang in there, the first couple days are the hardest. Be sure to drink TONS of water. If I am having a tough time, and the celery and pickles don't help, I will eat a boiled egg, or a string cheese stick. So far hasnt sabotaged me, and keeps me from falling completely off the wagon. Win/ Win!!

Well, I'm going to use Medifast again. I had a lot of success in the past and lost 60 lbs. Time to get back on track and reach my goal. One thing I wish I had done was to record my experience. I had a small date book that I did record my weigh ins but I didn't record anything else. So here goes.....One of the things I remember from my first go around with MF is that I did the first 4 months without a single slip up! After the first week I found that I had few cravings. The first few days are tough though and this time is no different! Key for me is staying busy as I tend to eat out of boredom especially in the evenings. My husband works evenings and I'm usually here alone, snacking has become my companion. I have several ideas I'm going to try, one of which is an "I'm bored" jar, actually 2. I've written down a bunch of little chores that I never seem to get around to like cleaning out the kitchen pantry, organizing cupboards, closets etc... In the second jar I've written some fun stuff, window shopping, bike ride, go get one of the grandkids and take them to the park etc... my plan is to pick something from one of them if I find myself feeling bored and thinking of eating off plan. Yesterday was a little tough but so far today I'm feeling pretty good.

I haven't been able to put together 3 days of healthy eating! The more I think about eating the right foods the more I want fried chicken and brownies! This is awful! My food cravings are out of control!!!!! I have an overwhelming sense that I'm NEVER going to be at a healthy weight. I'm feeling very desperate right now. I have to concentrate on today.....right now.....just today.
