Feel like I have no time to exercise

Ok Here is my delima. I feel like I have no time to exercise. I am open to all suggestions.
I wake at 5:00 in the mornings. By the time I get myself ready for work it is time to wake the kids. When they get on the bus, usually we are running out the door when the bus stops in front on the house at 6:50, I have to leave for work. When I get home fix supper and take the kids to dance, scouts, etc... get everyone showered and to bed it is 9:00 at night and I am usually dead tired.
I know my diet downfall is exercise. I don't eat but 1200 calories a day. So I know that if I added excerise ot my routine I would start to loose weight. My son laughed at me the other day. We have a step in the house, yes just 1 step in the hall. I was going up and down the step. I think I counted 50 times. My son was rolling on the floor with laughter.

    Can you add a workout to your lunch time at work? Also one time on spark I read and article about how you can get a workout in while you were at various events waiting for your kids to finish. With that hectic schedule it is hard to fit in a workout. One last suggestion is try to get up 30 minutes earlier, this will be so hard at first but so worth it once you get used to morning exercise it just gives the whole day a nice boost.

  Is it possible that 2 or 3 days out of the week, as your kids are at scouts... you could join a gym? Just an idea.

    Take Naomi's challenge. Do your exercise during tv commercials. I can get in about 30 min watching. It is fast fun and doesn't feel like exercise. Plus I sleep better.

JDRF walk

Yesterday was the Juvenile Diabetes walk. We walked a total of 2 miles. It was staked off for 3 miles, but we could not do the last mile. My cousin that is 6 months pregnant was with us and her belly started hurting so we turned around. Did not want to risk anything,
Anyway my ankles are hurting me a little today.
Miss MIssissippi was there. She has a family member with Juvenile Diabetes so this is part of her platform. Nothing to do but my son and his best friend have a picture made with her. emoticon
My son raised a litle over $1200, so I was pround of that.

glucose numbers

I forgot I was going to post my glucose numbers after going in for a glucose resistance test the other day.

beginning 110
30 minutes later 175
1 hour later 207
2 hours later 173
These numbers are really high.

So I figure that I will be put on a restricted diet or they will want to do another test. I read somewhere that it takes 2 separate test to get a diabetes diagnosis. But my dr gets back in town tomorrow so he will call me after he looks at everything.

Diabetes runs in my family. My mom died from complications from diabetes 30 years ago and my son has juvenile diabetes. I don't know if we can afford for two of us to be diabetic. I know what I spend for his supplies a month. I don't want to think of that times two. I will be working just for diabetic supplies.

  I sure hope you can manage this without having to go on medication! Just keep doing the best you can do... and the weight will come off...and the numbers should lower.

    I see the adds for free diabetics supplies for Liberty ins. That might be worth a call. I thought that ins covered those things. After all, it is a medical condition. Chin up. As you weight decrease so will the diabeties. You might want to email Debbieanne on the Emotional Eaters team. She is diabetic and would know more than I.

OK I went to the dr today becasue I have been having some weird episodes with headaches/feeling faint. They start off with feeling dizzy, then I get cold and then I get a headache for a day or two. These episodes usually happen about 30 minues after I eat. Because deabetes runs in my family he wants to run a glucose resistance test. He said it is possible that my body cannot digest the "extra" sugar and does not know what to do with it. so my glocose levels jump high fast and then drops low real fast. He is also going to test for thyriod problems. And becasue I get headaches he wants to do a CAT scan, to make sure everything to flowing correctly. Last he said that it is just probably miagrains triggered from food allergies.

The dr. official weight was 238. I didnot wiegh on my scales when I got home, so I am not sure how far off they are. emoticon

Today the kids wanted me to make them a Carmel Cake. So I did. IT there all day and I managed to ignore it. But not until after supper. And I just had to have a peice. Oh well, maybe it is out of my system and I won't get anymore.

    I hope the cake was good! I hate to eat a calorie that tastes bad, lol.

It's ok to have sweets if you log them into your Nutrition Tracker and account for every calorie. If you use a boxed mix you can take the info from the box itself and enter it as your own food. There is even a way to enter your own recipes into your recipe book and track your foods from there too.

One of the Goonies uses a "2 bite" rule and only eats 2 bites of her forbidden foods. Whatever works!

Yes, I know this blog is almost 4 months old, but we face our demon foods daily!
