210 pounds???not anymore!!!

Tuesday, September 17, 2013

Having had a back injury I have actually been falling back into old habits. It was at a checkup that my new Doc asked me why was I having trouble.I had to face the truth and answer her.I was exercising and putting more calories in than was being burned.Snacking and eating at all hours.I was also afraid of reinjuring my back but,I guess deep inside it gave me an excuse to be LAZY!She said you can and will lose weight by the end of October or I'm going to put you on INSULIN!My mouth went dry and my heart jumped out of my chest. The tears were flowing and I was angry, scared and finally determined to do something about it.I relayed my woes to DH and he said Honey you are going to do this!He lubed my treadmill and elliptical(they were getting a little on the dusty side)and off I went.No pain so every day I increased my speed and time. The pounds were reluctant so I started back measuring and weighing food.Im happy to say I'm down to 188!!!!!...22 lbs since July 26th.Im feeling so much better and I get up,hit the exercise right away and pour myself a gallon of water from the fridge and put it out on the counter so I'll see it all day long.My clothes are bigger emoticon My muscles feel better and my attitude Is"Getter done"The Doc is flabbergasted and was so thrilled at my progress she gave me a $50 gift card to Wal Mart! She asked would I talk to some of her patients that are overweight. She took pics of me before and after wait till she sees the way after at end of October!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon SUSAN

Skinny pill?

Friday, September 13, 2013

Im was always hearing 3 of my ex friends mention a skinny pill. They will go for days without eating and just drink cokes or juice.Of course the weight comes right back on after they eat because its water weight. It's unhealthy and dangerous. All three,Terry is the worst want to be super skinny.Hayley is 5"5 and 100 lbs and Zoey is 5"6 and is about 105.I realized that they want to be around me because I make them look skinny-er.Personally they look like hunger victims on signs.I could make a stirfry meal for lunch and they would just pick at it.They always had something smart aleck to say to me putting me down and telling me about how I would be very pretty at 100 lbs!!We had an argument about my weight,Terry called me chubs and I said"with so called friends like you 3?I can live without the negatives!!Since then I've had rumors come back saying Im a bitch,im pregnant,Im having an affair and my dog bit the neighbors kid!!!They forgot to mention I'm an alien from Pluto!! emoticon Sticks and Stones.I feel so much better without all that negativity and learned their true colors at the same time.Sure they are skinny but Are they HAPPY???Are they HEALTHY? emoticon SUSAN

Good riddens to those sucky frenemies. Obvously, they were not happy with their own bodies and tried to make themselves feel better by bringing you down. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Susan, with friends like that who's your enemy? I would say good riddance!! Life is too short to be surrounded with people like that. emoticon emoticon

They aren't friends. You know that. Surround yourself with positive & supportive people. And shame on them....grrrrrr emoticon emoticon

Sounds like a good idea to have gotten rid of them. The things they were saying were not nice nor supportive! What kind of friends are they??? Not friends at all! I am sure it is hard for you to hear about the back stabbing that continues, but you are better off without them.

Wow...my face was red!!!

Thursday, September 05, 2013

My littlest DGD is growing out of her summer clothes. Her butt is showing some cheeks under her shorts. We were going for some shoes and icecream when I noticed she was showing some butt.I told her go and change those shorts I see your cheeks and that's more than anyone wants to see.She left and came back wearing the same shorts, holding her face cheeks and said "Can you still see my cheeks?I was staring at her when she laughed and said"Gotcha Grammy! We had a good laugh!!We then went to Shoe Carnival, she saw a woman about 25 years old and kept looking at her.She was wearing shorts that had splits and cuts and shreds with a lot of butt cheeks and a thong was sticking out.Aaliyah walked over and said "Mam I see your butt cheeks!!!The woman turned and looked right at me and I blushed so much...Aaliyah said "Well I had to change my shorts because I had more than anyone wanted to see!Several people in that vicinity were belly laughing to the point the woman left the store!!!Wow my face was ten shades of red. From the mouths of babes my Grammy always said. How do we teach our children values when they see others doing what they get told is wrong? She asked me later was that lady a whore!!!Without raising my voice and speaking ever so gently I explained some people have different values or rules than we do.That don't make them bad.She said she heard some ladies talking about another lady at church because she had on a short dress and that she was a whore!!!She's about to turn 7 October 12th and a shining light in my life. Her mama has a tendency to have a short temper and I didn't tell her about our outing. Some things are better left unsaid emoticon It's a grandparents right. emoticon SUSAN

That is funny! I'd like to think it might make the 25 year old reconsider her wardrobe, but it probably won't.

That is pretty funny. It reminds me of this story my daughter told me.

One morning my daughter was walking to a local coffee shop. She saw a girl who had obviously partied a little too much the night before. The girl looked bedraggled and had smeared make-up and had broken a heel off her shoe and was limping. There was also a woman and her little girl walking nearby. The little girl said, Mom what's wrong with that girl, is she OK? The mom responded, "I'm sure she's ok, she probably just made some bad choices."

Teach them young to dress modest. There is nothing wrong in proper dressing habits vs. showing everything to the world.

wishing.....wont make it happen!

Wednesday, September 04, 2013

I'm an active person and love doing things.I'm also a bit of a procrastinator..LOL I know what you must be thinking. Are'nt we all?I bought some shelves and brackets 2 years ago and I still hav'nt installed them where they are meant to go!!While cleaning the garage my DH ran across the shelves and said "Honey,When are you going to put them up"I made a face and he laughed and said"Well wishing wont make it happen"Soooo after all that time I finally installed the shelves and got some other tasks accomplished!! emoticon The same goes with losing weight.Get up and get organized and stop procrastinating.Tomorrow might be a new day but what about right now?You are worth it!!! emoticon SUSAN

It reminds me of some framed prints that I bought for our master bathroom. I've had them for years and I never get around to hanging them up. In fact, I saw them the other day and thought about surprising my hubby by putting them up. I quickly got sidetracked and it didn't happen. Whenever I get around to making a "to do" list, I'll have to remember to include hanging those pictures. Right now, my priority is planning healthy meals to help me lose weight.
