Baby birds fly away..but not too far!

Tuesday, August 06, 2013

I do see the comparing of kids and birds.I have a 19 year old that I'm trying to get her to be more adventurous, move away to school and she seems more determined to stay near me.I also have seen this in birds.Theres a mama mockingbird that had 4 babies in her nest. All but 1 have gone away. She still feeds him and squawks but he stays.Shes now on her nest again to hatch more eggs and he still visits her.She runs him off but he comes back emoticon emoticon SUSAN

I took my 7 yr old granddaughter shopping!

Thursday, August 01, 2013

She has grown up being the center of attention and turned out pretty darn good for a spoiled kid emoticon She wants to save a buck and knows if she can get two for the price of one then emoticon She dressed up for girls day and was ready and rearing to GO!She had given it great thought as to what she would pick to eat for lunch and had her purse with a $5 bill smoking inside.Grammy!!she hurls herself at me like a missile and kisses my cheek. She is tiny for almost 7 and as I look outside she is already loading her car seat in my car and ready to roll.So I ask where ya wanna eat lunch?at the mall she sings. So after lunch, off we went trying clothes, shoes, backpacks, school supplies and she was whipped!I turned to look at her and she was knocked out.We had sundaes at McD's and she treated. emoticon what a kid!!We went to an indoor playground thing and ran around for another hour. She looked at me and said "Gram seriously can we go home?My feet hurt" emoticon Her mama said she slept all night long!! emoticon emoticon SUSAN

Im burned out,literally!

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

I sometimes hate to tell my family and friends NO!!A lot of times they bully and sweet talk me into things I don't have time for.I have a 19 year old DD that I love dearly,we get along great and she is the baby of the 4 of my DD's.I have been trying to help support her while she lives with her sister.I drive her around, pick her up and buy her food and clothes. She is always grateful and never complains. The problem is my two oldest ones. They get so mad at me for helping her out. It's okay when they are down on their luck and I slip them some cash to help them out.My neighbors car broke down and she comes at the most inconvenient moments for me to drive her to the store. She spends hundreds of dollars on groceries and gives me $5 for taking her 6 places to shop.I flat out refused Friday and told her I wasn't her taxi service! She told her sons I yelled at her and called her names!!!!I try to run errands in the early hours to avoid the 100 degree temps.I refuse to be on anyone elses leash.Im tired of being taken advantage of because im a good person emoticon I cant even carve out time for exercise or DH.Only 2 people out of 10 acted stupid with me.The rest understood!! emoticon emoticon SUSAN

You are right - you need to learn to say 'No', and know that this is OK.

your time is valuable! You can say yes and set conditions and let her know that in the future it would be best to make other arrangements, unless they are going to exercise with you emoticon

  Susan,

You are a very warm and caring person. Don't beat yourself up for saying no. Make time for yourself. You deserve it!

I did a web search and read that medicated powder may absorb the smell. It's worth a try.

Do your guests a favour and buy a new mattress. And a mattress protector for if you have children on the bed.

Have you tried white vinegar ? plain vinegar or a baking soda paste should work. don't use them together. LOL !!

No, if you want to remove odors, try making a paste of baking soda and water. rub it into the wet spot. that should help. if that doesn't work, the
white vinegar should.

Hope your grandson is feeling better. Worse case ? If you can't get the stain out, you flip over the mattress.

Maggies son is gay

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Maggie,God love her has been estranged from her sweet beautiful son for 8 years. She loves him but wont stand up to her family and say so.Luke her son is getting married to his partner of 12 years Gabe.Max her oldest son plans to attend and does not care what anyone will say,he loves his brother!Max's daughter and son are going too.The problem?Maggie's mom!She is old world, narrow minded, cynical, mean and ruthless. She has spread rumors to hurt Mag's relationships with co-workers,friends and relatives. She has to stand up to her mom and tell her how she feels. She asked me how I feel and I told her I'd rather have a gay child than a dead child.Life is too short to miss another day of their life.Me and my second daughter had been at odds for 6 years, what a waste,we were both being stupid and stubborn not anymore she grew up a lot and I quit being an A$$ set in my ways. emoticon SUSAN

She needs to love her son, in my opinion. Whether or not her beliefs don't match up with what IS, it is still her child. Fear of your mother can be great, but love of your child should overcome that torture.
