What is wrong with some people?

Wednesday, May 29, 2013

My sweet daughter just found out 2 weeks ago she's gonna be a mama. Her fiance's mom is not happy...AT ALL!This afternoon while my DD and her fiancÚ were resting, his mom used a key to enter their apartment.Grabbed my DD by the hair and punched her in the head and face, tried to kick her in the abdomen and had to be dragged off of her!The police were called and had an ambulance come.So far I haven't heard any news and am waiting by the phone.I am praying that her baby survives. My DD is one of the sweetest people person alive and wouldn't hurt a fly.The crazy woman is currently in jail! She hit a sleeping pregnant woman...How proud she must be! emoticon I am going to pray for her because she needs some God right now emoticonSUSAN
I just got a call and it appears my girl will be alright!!!!!

I just came back from a long mind clearing walk.I was covered in mud from road construction.I went to come down my driveway and spotted about six tiny rabbits in the bottom of a crepe myrtle bush.I guess the mama couldn't wait to dig her burrow any deeper emoticon They are so tiny!I proceeded to hose my shoes and legs off and saw some more babies! emoticon I have a lot of work to do,including mowing the grass before we get a ticket!Have a Beautiful Day ya'll!!! emoticon SUSAN

I am saddened by your loss of a loved one - as I am by all the loss of life from the Oklahoma tornado. My sincere prayers are with all those touched by the devastation brought on by the tornado.

As to the comment about why live in tornado alley - the same could be said about any area after a natural disaster. No place on planet Earth is free from such possibilities.

God bless!

I've been watching and reading the news feeds, the devastation is just incredible. I'm glad your family is safe, but so sorry about your cousin. I just can't imagine what it must be like at the school and the raw emotions those parents must be feeling.

Kids...ya gotta love them!

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

Hurrying along the corridor of the hospital and bracing myself for what was to come.I took a deep breath and stepped in.Lying on the bed was my beautiful oldest daughter. She looked pale and started crying when she spied me at the foot of the bed.Mom,she held out her arms.I sat beside her and held her tight. My mind is going haywire with the most awful thoughts.I wiped her tears and said The nurse called me,whats wrong?I have a kidney infection and the Dr.said he wants me to take tests for diabetes.Im so scared she was crying again.WHEW!I let the air escape my lungs. It felt like my legs would give out.Is that all?You would do anything to get attention I laughed and kissed her nose. She was discharged and made a follow-up appointment. She lives life to the fullest and eats anything she wants. She smokes, drinks, sleeps and wont exercise. She is shocked that she might have diabetes!I took her to the library to read about her condition, she was dazed at the effects it has on a person not caring about their health. emoticon SUSAN

My prayers on your daughter's behalf are already winging their way to the Lord God. I hope she will begin to do what will benefit her.

I have sevearl friends who are faced with living with Diabetes. Two of those friends are now faced with the aftermath of having chosen to live in denial about the disease. The diabetes is now raging out of control, with both gals being faced with dealing with ever dimming eyesight & one experiencing horrendous concerns with her feet. She was in great danger of having one foot amputated some years ago. I know that the only reason that she didn't lose that foot is because of the grace & mercy of the Lord. Still, she chooses to continue playing Russian roulette with her health.

God bless!

P.S. One of my sisters-in-lawa (brother's first wife) died at an early age because of the complications of Diabetes. It is just not a disease one should ignore.

Then there was my father-in-law - once he was diagnosed with the disease, he did everything in his power to keep it under control & his diligence paid off quite handsomely. He proved that it can be done & I admire him for that.
