Wow you are so busy, it's little wonder you are having back problems.
Great that you have had a stock take, and hopefully having jettisoned some 'friends' that I suspect can't have been the best of friends, maybe there is room in your life for some friends who are not needy, and who are in a position to offer you support when it is needed.
Here's to keeping an eye out for those folks!

Well you weren't too far from me in San Antonio! I am in Austin.
That is great to find homes for animals.
Tough to let go of people, but toxic people are no good to have around. Sorry about your health issues.
Take care.

It's a hoot about your 10 year old grandson having a girlfriend.
I'm happy to know that you are doing better.

Old people are just wrinkled angels

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

When I was a small tyke I was very afraid of old people.I hid, avoided and cringed with fear when around them.It frustrated my Grams and since she knew I loved angels she got an idea. She made me a wrinkled paper angel!I instantly adored it and called it old lady. From that point on I was on the road to giving up the old people fear.52 years later here I am getting and giving so much LOVE from them.Today at 3:15 pm GOD has another wrinkled angel named Sarah Marie Long age 98.She will be sadly missed but gladly Welcomed in heaven.... emoticon Y'ALL,SUSAN

So,back to the haters group I joined/Quit!

Thursday, August 30, 2012

I could'nt rest knowing that a church had a group of hate mongers. When I think of church,I think of love,understanding,acceptance,help,friend-
ship, peace and honor among fellow members. My friend Josie and I returned and spoke out about hatred and recieved equal amounts of understanding and anger at us.Keeping issues buried wont help.We were basically told to mind our own business. We were called horrible names and told to leave.Josie was called the "N" word I was called gay lover..only not those words were used.I cleaned them up a bit!We both laughed because we both have been called worse.Surprisingly though the pastor asked us to return for a meeting! Not knowing what to expect,we took a pal. Many people react with fear of the unknown. They have been thinking that being around a gay or lesbian will make them gay also!Or contract HIV.If this is you,get educated!!I have the utmost love and respect for everyone BUT,HATERS! emoticon emoticonSUSAN

I think of the scripture that says: "Your enemies will be of your own house." (sorry-am rushing and can't look up for exact verse) ...... HE did mean the house of God or Body of Christ .......... (Sorry to hear, but not so surprised ............... For this reason, my hubby and I pray AT HOME and no longer attend church. (Hope this offends no one, but we saw enough hatred and 'scandal' to last this lifetime!! (I am sure the next world will be A LOT better than this!)

Those people have no business calling themselves a church. You and Josie deserve a place of love and understanding. In other words, a REAL church.

What was it Jesus said? "These people honor Me with their lips but their hearts are far from Me." I hope you find the church home you deserve, full of peace and love.

It saddens me that there are people in the world that are so filled with hate. I am a Christian, and though I may not agree with the life choices of some, I would NEVER put them down because of it. Jesus tells me to love everyone no matter what.

I do hope that if you want to continue going to a church, that you find one that is filled with loving & caring people!

GIANT-STEPS 8/30/2012 5:23PM

I'm so sick of people who use religion to justify their bigotry. During the days of slavery, segregation, and anti-miscegenation laws bigots claimed that black people carried the mark of Cain even though the Bible never even mentions what the mark of Cain was. Now people who don't like GLBT try to use religion to justify their bigotry. One thing I point out is that in all of Jesus' sermons he never even mentioned homosexuality. If being gay was such a bfd don't you think it would have come up at least once? Sure the Old Testament condemns it but it has lots of rules Christians cheerfully ignore but note they focus like a laser on anything condemning homosexuality. I'm not a Christian but one thing that always inspired me is Jesus's advice for identifying false prophets; he said that we will know them by their fruits. There was a group in the Bible that favored rule following over loving their fellow man; they were called Pharisees and Jesus didn't think much of them. Fundamentalists are today's Pharisees.
Peace!

I'm glad that you called them out on there incorrect beliefs, For most people I think its the lack of exposure that breads hate, When people can't assign a name or a face with a generalization its easy to dismiss them or have animosity. I think that your exposing the group no mater how resistant they were was brave of you, You cant change everyone views but you can get people thinking. emoticon

I joined a group of HATERS!

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

I AM SO OVER THIS GROUP!!!My friend kept telling me what awesome people they were and I took a leap of faith. How could I know what bigotry and fear lurked?I soon came to realize how rude and hateful these people were.Bitter hateful words erupted from them.I am not to be molded by anyone. My family and friends have gay/lesbian members that I love dearly.Being gay does not affect how much I love them. When someone is hated for who they are and who they love,It's just plain wrong and I spoke up.I was afraid they might harm me but,I stood up and told them I was done!!!Nobody hates on the ones I LOVE!!I left and did'nt look back.People dont hate it only hurts others.... emoticonSUSAN

    Go YOU!

You did right thing, getting out of there. I'm glad to read that even within a group that I generally don't understand (church groups), there are people like YOU who really are thinking and caring. And getting the heck OUT when it's too much.

YEAH!

Good for you. I have had to stare down and verbally chastise people all of my son's life.

When you love someone you feel their pain when stupid people find it necessary to express and/or show hostility towards someone whom they do not know and in most cases have never seen before.
