Moving it to lose it. Even when you don't plan to. emoticon

I do dislike when that happens.

Good for you, and try to relax. We share similar issues with the inability to rest when there's something that still needs to be done. Wish I could give you some tips, but the best I've come up with is a long term project.

Downsize to a smaller house, and wear a blindfold regularly.

Not exactly a perfect solution, but might be worth considering. I'll let you know after I move.

Girlfriend, you deserve a LONG hot bubble bath!!! But, think how many calories you burned. Did you know if you go to fitness minutes, that there is one for heavy duty cleaning!! You can get fitness minutes for it, and it will show you how many calories you burned!!! You deserve to get some credit for all that you accomplished!!!

My DH doesn't understand that about me either. Things have to be straight or I can't rest. He tells me to take it easy, rest, sit down but I can't if there are things to do. He sits too much, I don't sit enough!

I tried to take a day off

Sunday, July 24, 2011

Well, its another lazy sunday and im thinking,I'll take a day to myself. The home Air Conditioner drain backed up and soaked a giant area in my bedroom carpet!!!We ended up in Lowes and bought a plumbers snake for sinks.Guess what? it worked...yeehaww!!Its now 5pm and I just now was able to cool off the house. We can make plans all we want and life has a way of saying GOTCHA!!Im alright though because we kept humor up all day!The company we use wanted $200 just to make a house call...grrr.My husband looked like someone peed in his cheerios,he was so mad!Together we unblocked the drain and saved $200....Thank you kind people for praying for my pain,it is alot better today. The exercise helps alot....Blessings to you all and emoticonSUSAN

Last year our A/C flooded the house. I was so disgusted with the wet carpet that I got out the razor knife and cut out the carpet. I took a week off work and installed ceramic tile in the whole house except the 4 bedrooms and the family room. Last night our thermostat stopped working, so today it is off to Home Depot to buy a replacement. The things we will do to stay cool. I hope your carpet didn't get too wet.

It's unexpected adventures like that that really make life interesting! We had our water heater pipe seal break and leak TWICE in one year a few years back so I know how that kind of thing derails the day. Glad you were able to get the equipment to unblock the drain yourself and save all that money! I hope your arthritis behaves and you can have more active days that are less unexpectedly exciting, I have chronic pain so sometimes it feels like a "good" day is time to cram everything possible in and then it wipes us out, remember to take it easy on a good day sometime soon!

$200 just to make the house call? You'd think that with the economy being so down that businesses would be charging reasonable fees. I guess when it comes to A/C, it's a seller's market! So glad you were able to get it fixed and cool yourself off again!

This journey called life can be tough!

Saturday, July 23, 2011

I look at each day as a blessing! The ups and downs, highs and lows are what make it a journey.I dont expect anything to be handed to me,I work hard at everything I do.Some things are hard to deal with.I have had arthritis since 1972.Sometimes I can deal with it and other times(like now)I suffer a great deal of pain.I can push through it most of the time.NOT today!I did my workout very slowly and limped the rest of the day! My mom and grams both had rheumatoid too.By staying limber and moving Im not as stiff but my fingers are getting crooked.I have been lucky and am counting my blessings!! emoticonSUSAN

My RA started in 1988 and I am lucky to have had really aggressive doctors so I am still able to use my hands most of the time. Today, after tying all the water balloons for our water balloon fight, they are cramped beyond belief. With RA, we have okay days but we have to use our minds to have great days. it's that truism: if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. Take a day off and rest. If you push too hard, you won't push through the pain, you'll push yourself into it. Caution, darling friend! Feel better.

What a wonderful gesture on your part! So often the folks who work in nursing homes don't get the recognition they deserve - the people they are helping often cannot give it, and families don't see it. Good for you for making her day special!

my baby girls # 17 birthday!

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Kayla turned 17 today and I had a lump in my throat looking at her and remembering. The 9 pound beautiful angel they placed in my arms.she opened her eyes at the sound of my voice and wrapped her daddy around her little finger.See,when I found I was pregnant with her,we didnt want anymore kids!WE were grandparents of two boys!!I cried and cried! My husband was angry,I was stressed.I asked him what do you want me to do?He said its your body but Im done raising kids.I took a few days and left him with his other kids.I Didnt go far,but when I called home ,my husband started crying.he asked Did you get an abortion? Please say you didnt!Where are you? So,I went home to talk and the next day I started bleeding really bad!I was rushed to the er where they informed me I'd had a miscarriage.I was heading up to have a procedure called a DNC when I felt a kick. The nurse says that happens its not a kick!Suddenly I felt another kick. The nurse rolled her eyes! When the elevator opened and I asked for another nurse to come over and feel the baby kick and she wheeled me as fast as she could to ultrasound. There on the screen was my precious daughter and her heart was beating...they couldnt believe thier eyes!My husband walked in crying and wrapped me in his arms and sobbed his heart out.I guess the decision was taken out of our hands,we realized whatever happened we'd go through it together! She is our miracle and we adore her spoiled butt through thick or thin..... emoticonAnd much love,SUSAN

We were so happy to have her ... she is 13 now. Children are miracles and blessings.
