I love mornings!

Saturday, June 11, 2011

My treadmill has been dusted off,new batteries have been put in my elliptical because soon the heat will have me cornered.I love the mornings!I'ts all new and fresh, the birds are singing, the weed eater and lawn mowers humming and the air is cool and amazingly enough, sounds like a whisper. It takes alot for me to abandon the outdoors exercise for indoors but i have to eventually.I still will take my walks in the evening hours. But,alot of people are still holding that allmighty cell phone in thier hands and not looking for me so I slap on a neon tee and reflective shorts, carry a flash light and off I go.We are getting new sidewalks here for the first time too.Well,Off I go!!! emoticon SUSAN

Im glad to be my mama's daughter

Friday, June 10, 2011

Though she's gone now my mama raised me to be kind, polite, have respect for my fellow humans and love and I'll always be proud of who I am!She told me numerous times that I have to have love for myself,I Do!That I have to have love for others,I Do!And Most of all be thankful for what I have,I Am!And even if i die tomorrow theres not much I'd change about myself because I am cool, funny, friendly, loving and respectful!I started this journey with Self Love and have learned I am Stronger than I ever Imagined...... emoticonspark friends

There are so many times when I think, "Wow, how did that parent get to be so messed up?" I have friends who still struggle with things from childhood, I read stories about unbelievable abuse (actually, I try my best *not* to read them), I watch people who seem to have no clue how to step outside of themselves and care more about their children then their own needs or pressures or whatever. So it is so comforting to hear things like what you wrote. Good for your mom for creating a legacy in you, and good for you for recognizing it. It's a beautiful thing.

My husband was folding laundry when....

Thursday, June 09, 2011

YES,he does help fold laundry!Mr.Manly Man holds up my new smaller underwear and says...Who's are these?I answer,Mine, why?Well usually you wear those granny panties(laughing on his part)I still do,to exercise because they are cotton.I picked up a pair of his new unders and said whose are these? your brothers?(he's like the abonible snowman on Rudolph)His face turned to stone and he could only say TOUCHEE(TOOSHAY)for those of you that havent heard that term. He,looked like a little kid caught with thier hand in the cookie jar!!When i started laughing...He apologized, wrapped his arms around me and said woman!you are shrinking..... emoticon sparkers

That's funny. He sees you daily so its probably harder for him to notice how much you have changed. And I agree with wearing the cotton grandma panties to workout but when you get home and shower from your workout, put on some cute little boyshorts and flaunt that tight ass in front of your man and I bet he will notice now! Mine sure does!

Ended up shopping instead of cleaning!

Tuesday, June 07, 2011

I know,How awful huh?My daughter had other ideas and frankly it was fun going and having subway and shopping!I was a good girl and had done most of my exercise so I gave in.I'm adjusting to wearing different clothes(stepping out of my comfort zone)and it feels amazing. In the past I always hid my body even when I weighed 120 lbs.A new me is emerging and I bought size 8's woo hoo!!I hope that some day I will inspire others as much as you all inspired me! emoticon SUSAN

Shopping with my daughter, someone just shoot me now! She looks so cute in the cloths, but does she have to try on everything at every store. I am getting tired just thinking about it. I am glad you had fun and I do love Subway.

We women rock too!!

Monday, June 06, 2011

I have been begging my husband for 5 years to take down the jungle gym. It's been rotting, falling down, and had rusty nails, splinters sticking out and I cant watch my grandkids every minute.SO....Me and Kayla got our gloves, glasses
hats, sunscreen and tools out.Me swinging a hammer and her using the crowbar
we got busy! After 2 days of sweating and fighting misquitoes,My husband came
out and acted like Captain Marvel (we were 99.9% done)He,saws down the rest of the remaining lumber. We women rock!He was peeved that I went ahead and took the proverbial bull by the horns and did something I begged him to do!!!So,theres a moral to my story!!When he says honey just wait,I'll do it myself?I will start doing it MYSELF anyway...really 5 years later??Well i took some well deserved advice from OURMAMAM and tore out an ad in the newspaper and stuck it on the fridge reading..Honeydo man will do what your honey wont do!!Honey is not amused but he is curious(SMILE)I have a list started!!....GOOD FOR ME AND KAYLA....Happy monday sparkers emoticonSUSAN

I hear you. My problem is that unless something is really dangerous, my DH isn't concerned. Right now we have a potting shed that is starting to look like it belongs in Dogpatch.

Around here, "nagging" means mentioning it once a year. I learned along time ago to use the phone-number-on-the-refrigerator technique. Sometimes works; more often not! The best thing about that is over the years I've accumulated a good list of numbers to call when I need something done.

Attagirl! That's the moxie that can prick at that manhood bubble....so beware the sleeping giant. If things continue to annoy him enough to get involved, you may have to keep adding things to that list just to keep him out of trouble.
