It takes alot to make me this angry!!

Sunday, June 05, 2011

We were in Wal Mart yesterday when a woman, spilling out of her clothes, leaving nothing to the imagination was getting talked about.I usually keep my big nose to myself but,I seem to have become more vocal for some reason. She felt good enough about herself to wear those clothes, and that is great!Whether we like it or not! Those women were being catty and selfish to think they had a right to tell someone about themselves.I stepped in and defended her.Hankenstein said recently "Being in a church makes you no more of a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car"Amen Hank!!We all should be able to have more self love and appreciation.Im not saying to put on awfully revealing clothes and parade around!Im saying wear what makes you feel amazing!I AM LEARNING!!Standing in judgement of others is not right. We live in a very diverse world and people wear a various assortment of clothes that we all dont agree is appropriate,But Who Cares??Dont bring down someone else to make yourself feel better!ARRRRG!!.....Happy Sunday sparkers

    No harm, no foul.

We should do unto others......well you know the rest of that.

You are so right. God told us that it is not up to us to judge others. I wonder where most people were hiding when this lesson was taught?
Thanks for reminding us of this vital lesson!

Its a good reminder to look inward before we spew outward. Everyone has a choice and can exercise personal choice as long as it doesn't take away someone else's choice. Empathy and compassion are needed more in our world.

Great post. Thank you.

Good for you! I like the comment about how being in a garage does not make you a mechanic.

Thanks for the uplifting message.

We have lots of bunnies here. Its unfortunate though for my dog who was bred and trained to hunt rabbit so its a bit of tease. I love seeing them though in the morning and in the evening... They tend to just do their own thing.

I so agree... and our AC really doesn't cool our house all that much. We just have a room AC for our upstairs--15 ft x 30 ft. It isn't big enough to really help so we rarely run it. Right now at almost 6 pm, it's 95 in our living room with 6 fans blowing. I get up as early as I can. Right now, I'm trying to get a garden bed prepared for later this summer and next year. So I work on that for an hour, come in and take a cool bath (no shower), then go and exercise for about an hour. Then I melt the rest of the day until after 9 when it starts to cool off again. I'm going to start taking a nap around 2 to help.

Skorts are a cute way to look like you are wearing a skirt but still have the freedom to work in the yard or other active things. emoticon

You wear anything you want. If it makes you happy that's all that should matter. The most beautiful thing in the world is a woman comfortable in her own skin, or cloths for that matter.

You wear what you like! Until they're 30 with kids of their own, our daughters don't have our best fashion interest at heart, and most boys (including husbands) have very little knowledge of fashion at all. I still maintain that a woman should like and be comfortable in what she wears, and that combination alone is most difficult. Go for it, and enjoy your independence!

I enjoy wearing those too but my husband doesn't like them. I had a fantastic suit once and the cut was amazing. When he found out the "skirt" was actually trousers he hated it! I gave it away..but still remember it fondly!
best wishes, Sandra

My family thinks im too soft hearted!!

Wednesday, June 01, 2011

I dont care what they think...I Am soft hearted!!My grandson is 10 years old and he can cry at any given moment over the least little thing!!But,I gather him to my chest and love on him!See,we as children were not allowed to cry!!So,when he cries,Im the first to shield him from the bullies that think its not manly to cry.Yesterday,I surprised him at his performance at school and he was screaming....GRAMEEEEE!! and he started getting teary eyed that I came! His mama thinks its my fault that he's emotional and that men should be men.Well,he's not a man he's a little boy that needs some tenderness and understanding! And as long as I can give him love,I WILL!He and I go places alone sometimes so he can get away and have some time to talk and not feel embarrassed. With me he feels free! My husband was one of those 8 year old men and he doesent do too much hugging and kissing his kids unless they come to him. Then he will hug freely.Well, after Gilberts school let him go I treated him to Dairy Queen and he came up and said "gram I Love You"So,we sat and ate ice cream and laughed at the silly people walking by...What do ya'll think about boys being made to be manly??? emoticonsp

Stick to your plan and let him continue to find a 'Safe Place' with you to share his Feelings.
Your future Grandaughter-In-Law will LOVE you for it.

How will William know how to treat his baby if he never has a doll?

I'll bet that means something to you. Keep up the good work, grandma, and he will remember the lessons and teach them forward. Gone are the days when fathers didn't hug their children, or never said "I love you" to them. I say:

YIPPEE!
