Me too. But today has been good, and I'm pre-planning my meals and exercise this week instead of just letting it happen. I need more self-discipline. Have a good week, and you will do it! emoticon

You did NOT back slide because you didn't exercise. You had a legitimate reason i.e. taking care of your daughter. Believe me, there are going to be days you can't exercise. Even having an occasional meal at a fast food joint will not derail your efforts at weight loss and good health.

You don't have to be perfect to be healthy. Is your daughter okay ? Then that's more important. Tomorrow, you can resume your normal routine.

As I tell people, if you were to eat right 5 out of 7 days, you're still doing better than the average American.

My daughter is slowly pulling through this thing! It has swollen her face up so bad she couldnt see.Her eyes are open a wee bit now and whew!!It's been so scary for her and ME and daddy too!Her sisters have kept a vigil and worried themselves silly. The docs said she should stay out of school until she's better.I made her an appointment to see a skin specialist and make sure.Im going to get some much needed sleep, thanks for your prayers and support emoticon SP

My poor baby

Friday, May 06, 2011

My 16 year old daughter's face is swollen and she cant open her eyes.I took her to the doctor and all they could tell me is MAYBE she is allergic to something! And prescribed steroids/prednisone to take down the swelling. No blood tests,no urine tests or anything....she has to be led around like she's blind and it breaks my heart!I would gladly take away her pain!! The embarrassment at having a friend or acquaintance possibly see her in her present condition is horrifying to her!My husband went to fill the meds and buy her some icecream. If she doesent improve by tomorrow we will be back in the hospital bugging them!! emoticon sparkers!!

why are they called "wisdom teeth"?

Thursday, May 05, 2011

Okay whoever came up with the term WISDOM TEETH?My poor little girl is suffering from swelling, pain and shes not any wiser! She resembles a chipmunk with acorns in its mouth :)She is grouchy and uncomfortable all the time!We have been to the dentist 3 times this week!!We set up a surgical date to get them buggers out!!!They are going to sedate her...woo hoo!!I try to cheer her up and make her laugh but she is just not feeling well at all.I guess I'll buy her some pudding, soup and popsicles give her plenty of love and wait on her a bit so she feels adored.... emoticon spark friends

Pick up a couple of those character imprinted (like Disney Princess or Tinker Bell) gel ice packs. They're reusable, she's going to need them, and it will remind her that she's still your little girl as she gains the wisdom of what 1/3 the pain of childbirth is.

May the pain subside in record time......for both of you.

Sorry to hear about your girl being in so much pain. Wisdom teeth are called that because they normally appear when a person is between 17 and 25, ergo with more wisdom than a mere child. I hope things will go well at the dentist and your baby will be pain free soon!

Hopefully she will come thru with flying color on her wisdom teeth removal. My mom is 89 and one of her wisdom teeth is starting to move after all these years. One of my sisters had 6 (yes thats 6) wisdom teeth and the other had 5.

I only had 4 and have had two removed so far. Hang in there- she will get through this.
