why are they called "wisdom teeth"?

Thursday, May 05, 2011

Okay whoever came up with the term WISDOM TEETH?My poor little girl is suffering from swelling, pain and shes not any wiser! She resembles a chipmunk with acorns in its mouth :)She is grouchy and uncomfortable all the time!We have been to the dentist 3 times this week!!We set up a surgical date to get them buggers out!!!They are going to sedate her...woo hoo!!I try to cheer her up and make her laugh but she is just not feeling well at all.I guess I'll buy her some pudding, soup and popsicles give her plenty of love and wait on her a bit so she feels adored.... emoticon spark friends

Pick up a couple of those character imprinted (like Disney Princess or Tinker Bell) gel ice packs. They're reusable, she's going to need them, and it will remind her that she's still your little girl as she gains the wisdom of what 1/3 the pain of childbirth is.

May the pain subside in record time......for both of you.

Sorry to hear about your girl being in so much pain. Wisdom teeth are called that because they normally appear when a person is between 17 and 25, ergo with more wisdom than a mere child. I hope things will go well at the dentist and your baby will be pain free soon!

Hopefully she will come thru with flying color on her wisdom teeth removal. My mom is 89 and one of her wisdom teeth is starting to move after all these years. One of my sisters had 6 (yes thats 6) wisdom teeth and the other had 5.

I only had 4 and have had two removed so far. Hang in there- she will get through this.

Blasted evil dmv!!

Wednesday, May 04, 2011

I dont know how every state is about drivers lisences but, ours here is about as slow and miserable as they come! They have an old crappy building and no type of organization what-so-ever!!!I always renew mine through the mail. This time I needed a new picture taken and walked into another dimension.Everyone was bitter, mad, cranky, complaining and bringing hungry sleepy children in there! The dmv staff were moving and doing the best they could but, people get angry and restless as do the staff.I would like to take this time to thank all DMV staff for all they put up with and just remember people, you are going to go somewhere and WAIT it out...The doctor, dentist, mechanic, grocery, gas,ETC.tr
y and put yourself in thier shoes and remember to be kind and leave the nasty attitude at home!I hate waiting too but start a conversation and pass the time that way!! emoticon sp

My question is always this of people who are rude regardless of their profession. "Doesn't it worry you to have such a bad attitude in the economy?"

Poor Service attitude is truly my pet peeve. I agree that we all have bad days including me but really is there an excuse for being in a job where you have to be in customer service and being rude?

I on the other hand think your attitude is awesome and good for you for pointing the need for patience and kindness in all of us!!! :)

DMV workers are treated worse than any other profession. I commend your support of them here.

Interesting how everyone assumes it is "their right" to drive, when, in fact, it is a privilege.

Perhaps we should institute a "cranky people to the back of line" policy to keep everyone cheerful, eh?

Hmmm....if they're working with a nasty attitude, I don't think I'd like to have ANY conversations with them, myself - that is, except for the specific matter at hand.....

Seems like the DMV is one state agency that is almost always despised nationwide!

Motorcycles

Tuesday, May 03, 2011

OK what is up with our laws that,If you are in a car without your seat belt you get a ticket! But,in the state of Texas not only can you operate a motorcyle, you can operate one without a helmet. Are there seatbelts on motorcycles???No and what are the chances of you wrecking a motorcycle without a helmet and living to talk about it?I am not trying to stop anyone from enjoying, driving to work (because of stupid high gas prices)motorcycles but please DO NOT THINK YOU are one with the wind!Get a helmet and wear it,abide by the road rules,do not weave in and out of traffic barely, avoiding the asses that think its funny to open a car door to teach you a lesson.I survived a bad accident on Sunday motorcycle ride when I was 14 BECAUSE,I was wearing a helmet!!I just want you safe.... emoticon SPARK FRIENDS!!

I went out in the rain

Monday, May 02, 2011

It might sound idiotic but,I went out in the sprinkles and got about 3 miles from home when the sky opened up and drenched me!Plenty of people saw me and offered me a ride but,I dont know them and dont want to end up a statistic besides I was dripping water!So....On I went and the further I got the harder it rained!!I ducked out of it into a bus stop/roof and looked up only to see my husband drive up!He was MAD and I love him for it but I am Quite grown up!He read me the "we only love and care about you" riot act!I thought he was going to ground me :) But,I explained that It was sprinkling when I left and he came along as I was turning around to return home. emoticon emoticon SPARKERS!!

What were you thinking? Did you think that you might actually get these miles in before it started pouring? Next time you're tempted, ask your husband. Apparently, he knows the actual minute the rain will pick up and can advise you accordingly.....LOL

I'll bet you're swimming in your pants as a result of this one! LOL

If you're going to be going out in the rain, you might consider multi-tasking by taking a bar of soap with you.

changing my life!

Sunday, May 01, 2011

It's been alot of years that I get so far on a lifestyle change and it goes South!I changed the way I snack, season, cook and eat.Its hard not to sample the food I prepare for others but I'm hanging on and doing better! At times,I really dont realize I put something in my mouth until I chew it and I hurry up and spit it out before it becomes more calories! My husband says old habits die hard but at least I'm realizing what i'm doing and changing it and changing my life! emoticon sparkers
