Too many baked lays!

Thursday, April 28, 2011

My little 4 year old granddaughter came to VISIT while her mom ran errands. While she is adorable, she could raise the dead with her constant talking...hey grammy whats that?A treadmill I answer,it's for walking on...why?To get exercise I say..whats exercise? It's when you play ball, run with your dog, play at the playground or anything that makes you get tired. Can I get on the treadmill? No,because its not for small children.I'm not small children grammy I'm a big girl!!Well, after much fussing I said hey, lets have a picnic so I pulled out the picnic blanket and made her a pb&j and baked lays and drank milk from her teacups and had strawberries for dessert. After talking for what seemed like an eternity,I convinced her to eat and look at clouds!grammy!!I had'nt realized she was eating more chips until I asked what are you doing?Oh she said a fly was walking on me so, I got the flyswatter!!She had the bag of chips under her arm.We already ate!I'm hungry again she whined...I've raised 4 daughters and they all talked alot but,she deserves the CROWN!!!She had to potty and when she returned it was with my hairbrush and she made me beautiful :) after, she pulled whats left of my hair out!!!!I LOVE HER but, whew I had to take a nap when her mom came to get her!Of course I got blamed for her tummyache! My daughter said mama, are you getting even? How did she know? emoticon spark friends!!

    Adorable!

On another note, Baked Lays potato chips have something in them that always gives me a belly ache. I've never identified what the ingredient was, but it happens every time I ate them, so I avoid them now. Maybe it wasn't really too many chips, but what's in them? Just wondering....

My beautiful mother

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

My mom is gone forever from my life but,not my heart! She always said "Give me flowers while I'm alive NOT,when I'm dead then I can't enjoy them"She and I would run out in the Spring and plant tomato, cucumber, lettuce and radish seeds. We would thin, water and cultivate and weed.I always gave her a hard time about the weeding!"I can't see why we cant just buy them in the grocery store"I would complain.Well she would say, they just arent grown from our love and trust. They just dont taste the same!I would huff and puff with secret attitude cause she didnt take no crap!!Every Spring now for 14 years me and my husband plant a garden and wait with excitement for the first tomato, cuke, potatoes, zucchini, onions and peppers to emerge. She was and is right about the flavor they taste so good because we break our butts weeding and watering and WAITING!Plus,I always have to plant her some flowers so she can look over my shoulder and see Im doing exactly what she taught me to.
I always plant her favorites because she was my beautiful mother! emoticonSP!!

It's very true about the magazine covers. I've noticed this for years, and it's been kind of a little game for me to see how many grocery-store magazines DON'T have a cover with a big fattening dessert AND a way to lose XXX pounds. There are very few! i guess this is what they call all-inclusive. emoticon

Agreed. Stop buying the mags, the fashions, the makeup, the jewelry, and stop watching the TV programs that promote this crap, teach the avoidance of the 7 deadly sins, take the 10 commandments seriously, and insist that they appear in every public building, courthouse and school in America.

Oops, did I say that out loud. Just sayin....

emoticon I bet you are getting muscles. That is where measuring really comes in handy. I know my measurements now but I didn't want to know at first. Of course now I wish I had the comparisons. emoticon

Glory to God in the highest! Awesome news, and you're future is so BRIGHT now that you've been infused by this little gem of youth. You're going to have fun with him being so close so frequently. Take the time to play with him and learn from him to be childlike. It's a simple lesson necessary to enter heaven, and your little teacher has just arrived! YIPPEE!
