Is it just me?

Friday, April 15, 2011

I am looking in the mirror more often and liking what I see!It fills up my senses to put an article of clothing on and have it sagging...I just cant quit smiling. My oldest daughter is thinking Im getting "too" skinny and I've also inspired her to eat better and exercise!!She once said to me she wanted me around ! I said to her yesterday I just want YOU around!I was getting dressed today and a pair of my comfy workout pants are too big in the butt.I didnt appreciate myself ever before as much as I do now!Is it just me or does this happen to ya'll?hugs sp!

You are not alone.....someone else said that but the feeling behind it is different. It's a joy to be able to share with Spark people the inner glow of healthiness (even with a long way to go)
best wishes, Sandra

emoticonGreat signs of progress, I can relate to the baggy butt! I actually had a skirt fall off a couple weeks ago, time to give that one away! Fortunately, it was at my aunt's house and not in front of a big audience - lol. A little embarassing, but still an "aha" moment - this is really working!

Isn't it awesome! I had to go buy new workout clothes because some of my pants were too big, don't want them falling down on the treadmill now LOL I can't wait until I get to goal!

I always wake up right

Friday, April 08, 2011

I enjoy waking up right everyday. My grandmother said when you wake up and feel like all is right with you,you wake up right.I stretch, smile and think of all the things that that are good in my world.I mean, nothings tv perfect, far from it but,I dont care!My family is all healthy and walking around and seeing whats in front of them so.....Everything is right with them too.Sometimes our minds get weary and tired but,we have to keep going and count our blessings!Focusing on whats wrong, only sends us down and thats not an option....hugs sp!

Thursday, April 07, 2011

I always have mowed the lawn, even as a kid! It's great exercise and it looks good when i'm done.My dog gets as much exercise as I do! I'm her human so she follows my every step and watches over me as I mow. It's funny that as long as I'm out mowing nobody comes out...until Im done!!Well, that's ok I love it and its fun!hugs!sp

It's a great workout, and gives you some "me" time that will NOT be interrupted by anyone offering to relieve you. LOL

Nothing like that excellent feeling of job satisfaction when it's done, too.

YIPPEE!

I wish we had a yard (we live in a 'townhouse') because I used to love to mow the lawn too! There's always such a sense of accomplishment when you are finished and see the difference!

Like the old song says it all!I'M in it for the long haul and my pouting husband can just deal with it!I LOVE HIM dont get me wrong but he's a FART!I try to walk my dog morning and late afternoon after dinner and it takes 15 minutes! So why does he look like i'm going on a cruise with the OLD SPICE man?He can go to the garden until its dark and not think a thing of it.But,let me put on my reflective vest and he's all..DONT GO TONIGHT!(which btw is every night)So,last night we had a beer/water on our patio and I had a talk with him about guilt trips. He apologized but,i'm going to see if he means it!!I just want to be healthy and strong and maybe lessen my chances of health related illness!looking like an awesome babe doesent have a thing to do with it...wink wink!!hugs sp!

Hopefully he will change his behavior to either join you on your walk, or stop fussing about it. It is difficult to get motivated when your other half either isn't motivated or physically unable to do things like this. Try to look at this as his disability. Treat it with respect, but don't let it impede your progress.

maybe he should come on the walk too? 15 min isn't so long, and it certainly couldn't hurt him, and it's a chance to talk and connect. Hope you have a great evening!

I loved you comment about going on a cruise with the Old Spice Man- hilarious! (But doesn't that guy's voice just sound so good and his smile! I love watching those commercials.)
Sounds like your husband may be a little intimidated by your good choices?
Hooray for your good choices!!

Hopefully the little talk helps, I had a talk with my husband that this took discipline on my part, and reminded him about how adults (parents, we have 3 college age still at home) have good intentions, and may say we're going to do something, but it's those actions, that follow-thru that everyone sees! My hubby is notorious for saying he's going to do something, then taking a nap for 2 hours!
