How can you mend a broken heart?

Sunday, April 17, 2011

So my 16 year old had a date for the prom and he never showed up!!!She was so upset that nothing could help, not even fresh baked tollhouse cookies! We offered to take her out to eat but she said NO WAY!she is humiliated. She is #4 and either I lost my touch with the girls or she just needs to find her own peace
I felt awful for her but, reassured her that boys can be mean or careless. well I'm back to helping my hubby do some chores!!hugs sp

I hope he has a good excuse! Like in the hospital in a coma! Because that's the only excuse that can make up for not showing up for a prom date. I only hope she has a good set of friends to help her through this.
So sorry, I know this hurts you just as much.

That was so mean. My heart aches for her. I remember what it felt like to be stood up and not for something as monumental as prom. Praying that her heart heals quickly. emoticon

She needs her space, and her girlfriends, but watch carefully from a distance. Time heals all wounds, unless a sense of worthlessness intervenes. She really is better than this psychopath.

You're all in my prayers, and send me his name and address so I can go kick his butt! (selfish moron!)

time and her girlfriends! As a mom you will never "get it" until she is older and realizes you do know what you are talking about :)

wow. that's incredibly cold. high school can be such a time of torment. while there, it seems like the most important thing in the world. 10 years later? it hardly registers at all.

Is it just me?

Friday, April 15, 2011

I am looking in the mirror more often and liking what I see!It fills up my senses to put an article of clothing on and have it sagging...I just cant quit smiling. My oldest daughter is thinking Im getting "too" skinny and I've also inspired her to eat better and exercise!!She once said to me she wanted me around ! I said to her yesterday I just want YOU around!I was getting dressed today and a pair of my comfy workout pants are too big in the butt.I didnt appreciate myself ever before as much as I do now!Is it just me or does this happen to ya'll?hugs sp!

You are not alone.....someone else said that but the feeling behind it is different. It's a joy to be able to share with Spark people the inner glow of healthiness (even with a long way to go)
best wishes, Sandra

emoticonGreat signs of progress, I can relate to the baggy butt! I actually had a skirt fall off a couple weeks ago, time to give that one away! Fortunately, it was at my aunt's house and not in front of a big audience - lol. A little embarassing, but still an "aha" moment - this is really working!

Isn't it awesome! I had to go buy new workout clothes because some of my pants were too big, don't want them falling down on the treadmill now LOL I can't wait until I get to goal!

I always wake up right

Friday, April 08, 2011

I enjoy waking up right everyday. My grandmother said when you wake up and feel like all is right with you,you wake up right.I stretch, smile and think of all the things that that are good in my world.I mean, nothings tv perfect, far from it but,I dont care!My family is all healthy and walking around and seeing whats in front of them so.....Everything is right with them too.Sometimes our minds get weary and tired but,we have to keep going and count our blessings!Focusing on whats wrong, only sends us down and thats not an option....hugs sp!
