Today is weigh in. I'm 3 pounds down!! I'm so happy. I'll wait till next week to see if yesterday's breakfast did any real damage. But it was really nice to see a loss. Especially after a PMS week last week.

This morning I'm out with one of my "thin" friends. She's having a bacon, egg, and cheese, sandwich. I usually avoid those, but today, for some reason she's coaxing me into having one. It doesn't take much. I start rationalizing about how I'll make adjustments at lunch, have a shake for dinner, yada yada. I just calculated the calories!! Over 600! That's just for breakfast!! This won't go over again!! I can't let anybody sabotage me!

Well, no loss no gain. I'm glad I didn't gain. I usually gain the 3 lbs I lost the week before, and then go on to lose the same three pounds again. Vicious fat cycle!!
I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to get to the gym. I FEEL like I've worked out with all the activities I've been doing, but the gym is the best. I'm going to try something other than the treadmill at my next outing. I've got a meeting tonite till 10, a wedding tomorrow night. The gym closes early on Saturday and Sunday, so I can't even get an evening workout in at the gym. I'll probably end up doing a few tapes this weekend just to get in more activity. It's better than nothing, but the gym is absolutely optimal.
My trainer said I need to work out harder. I should be "in more pain" according to her. I think I'll add more weights. That should help.

I went out to dinner with friends yesterday. Everyone headed over to the breakfast brunch all-you-can-eat. I sat there, not wanting to go over my calories or gorge myself on all I could eat!! In the meantime my friends were coming back to the table with waffles in syrup and butter, BBQ chicken strips, bacon, sausage, etc.
I was turned off by it. I ordered from the menu. I shared my crab appetizer with one of my friends and left more than half of it because it was in a creamy sauce. I thought it might be too high in calories, so I only had a little. I ordered 9 oz steak strips and sweet potato fries. I tried to inconspicuously count the potato fries making sure I didn't have more than 20! I really couldn't believe myself. I even had two very large glasses of water with lemon. I actually kept telling myself, you've had the brunch before, you're not missing anything! Do something different, make a better choice. And I did. At the end of the day, I had only consumed 840 calories. So I ate a small dinner and came up to a little over 1300. I was proud of myself.
Two of my friends just had the weight loss surgery. It seemed they aren't learning how to eat well. Maybe they will in time, but it was a good lesson for me. I need to learn how to make good choices and exercise portion control. If I do that I won't be headed for the surgery myself! Looking forward to exercise this week!

I can't believe I went to the gym and did my entire routine after work, at 8:30 at night! It may be easy for some of you, but for me, my day starts at 5:00 a.m. most mornings and by Friday, I'm crashing and burning! For me to go to the gym after work at that hour, BEFORE dinner, is an accomplishment for me.
So I'm patting myself on the back this evening. I spent two hours at the gym. 30 minutes on the treadmill with a 5% incline (not much, but a lot for me) and at 3.5 mph. WHOHOO!! I also did an entire circuit training with cardio in between each set! I had on my ipod, I was rocking to the beat! I felt like an athlete for a second!! LOL
Oh Man!! I just might do WATP tomorrow for an hour. 4 mile challenge! We'll see. One step at a time!! I'm a little low on the calories, but I was over yesterday, so I think I'm on track.
