Can't believe I fit into this skirt!!

Friday, July 24, 2009

I tried on a skirt today, intending for the skirt to be a motivational aid to me. The idea was to try it on each week until the skirt actually fit. But, I tried it on, and IT FIT!!!! Amazing!! Now I have to find a different item. emoticon

Gotta track my steps!

Monday - 5550
Tuesday - 5586
Wednesday - 5576
Thursday - 10, 888

Trying to reach and stay above 10,000. This week, not so much yet. Will try to be better today and tomorrow.

    WOW, nothing like motivating yourself!

Thursday steps, were you worn out today?
Hang in there, with this activity level, you will soon need a belt and / or suspenders for that skirt, LMAO

Way 2 Go!!

Hey ORBD! Thanks for the facts. I found that I lost weight when I walked at least 20,000 steps. I want to keep that up and see how it works, but I definitely want to keep a minimum of 11,000. I've seen walking clear up a lot of health issues, but it takes motivation to keep it going. Especially in my case!! :-)

You have a great day too! Hope you feel good today and make your daily goal you've set for yourself.

    5308 isn't bad
+ 6000 sounds like WOW.

I have a application on my iPhone called Cool Facts,

I read a fact yesterday that the average person walks

18,000 steps per day.

Made me question the usual recommendation of 10,000

I walk much less on most days that what you did yesterday, but then that could be part of the reason that I have some of the health issues that I currently have.

Have a super GREAT day.

Keep up the great work, working towards your goals!

Did ok this weekend

Monday, June 29, 2009

I went over my calories on Saturday. But I was within range on Sunday. This week the goal is to exercise consistently. I've been so busy with things my exercise at the gym has suffered. But the QFC have been great to help me keep sparking my metabolism. Didn't exercise this weekend, but I walked a lot due to prepping for a dinner party I hosted on Sunday. We had a lot of healthy choices, veggies and fruits. Nothing fried, everything grilled. But there was bratwurst kabobs and burgers and hot dogs. I didn't any of that stuff though. Here's to looking for another week with some loss!

I need to eat!!

Friday, June 26, 2009

I'm not making my calories. I need to eat more. I've put reminders on my phone so that I'm interrupted and reminded to stop working and put some food in my mouth, do my QFC for the day. I love the exercise, but I have to eat. I realize it. Don't quite know what's wrong with me. Don't know why I have an issue eating regularly. I think I'm just busy and I don't want to take the time out. I'm better when I pack my lunch. Then I don't feel like I'm wasting time when I can sit and eat all of my food for breakfast/lunch/snack. But I'm being ridiculous. Who has this problem eating enough?! Most folks have an issue with eating too much. I'm going to change, because I realize this is causing my hips to be the size of Nebraska! So I have to eat to lose. I'm going to. I'm really working on it. Thanks Sparkpeople.
