OK, so I'm on a roll right! I am exercising, trying to eat better and what happens on week 5. A weight gain of two pounds. OK. I've heard it before, "muscle weighs more than fat", "it's probably just water", "you'll lose it", "don't get discouraged".
I do feel sad about it. I know all of the above, but I want the scale to move in the other direction. The only silver lining is that I have cramps too. So that helps the thought process as to why I have this gain. I'll keep exercising and I need to eat more cleanly.
I like that phrase - "eating clean". I think I will employ that thinking now. I also am going to make another change for week 5. Instead of drinking coffee every morning I'm going to switch to green tea. I hesitate to take foods out of my regimen. I don't want to do eliminate carbs totally. I can't live with that long term. I also know I need to add weights. So I'm going to add weight training for week 5. Just a video at first cause I'm still working on time to get to the gym. Hopefully I can weight train 3 times this week. That's the goal.
We'll see what week 6 brings. I'm marching down to my August deadline of losing 20 pounds. At this rate, I don't think I'll make it! But I will try to make it. I don't want to get radical, but whatever suggestions anyone can give, it will be greatly appreciated.
