Monday, September 08, 2014

Well I am disapointed in myself that I couldnt stick to the healthy eating I had wanted to during Phase One, but I started Phase Two this morning, committed to making the change!
Here's hoping it will all work out!

Here are my day 24,25 and 26 cardio sessions:

Day Seventeen-Twenty Three, Weeks Three and Four - My Twelve Week Challenge

Wednesday, September 03, 2014

Oh my goodness, I have fallen off the posting we go I'm back at it again I promise! So here is my update...Argh my food is on track then off track i'm like a silly yoyo and i know its not good for me. I can feel the muscles developing and even see them under my flab depending on how I suck in, or use a vice grip to hold it back ;) but completely my own fault, it is less visible because I have been sabotaging my progress through a poor diet. I had a good chat with my husband, because he is looking to lose weight and bulk up a bit, so we are making a very concerted effort between us to really be mindful. I am moving into Phase Two starting next week, this is the fat loss portion of the program so if I can stick with the food, hopefully i'll see some great results!

This weekend would also mark the Half Ironman I had signed up for before I suffered from some medical complications that put me off training for quite some time. I am feeling overwhelmed everytime I receive an email from them and I have a feeling of dissapointment in myself for many reasons. Anyway life happens sometimes in a good way and sometimes in a not so good way. One way or the other, despite the diet mess, I am proud of sticking with this program for almost a month, and excited to see the changes my body is going through, under a few layers ;)

Day Seventeen:

Little Jog...

Little Lifting

Day Eighteen:

Bit of Elliptical...

Bit of Weights...

Day Nineteen:

Tiny Run

Tiny Shoulders

Day Twenty/TwentyOne were rest rest rest days :)

Day Twenty Two:

Back at 'er

Day Twenty Three:

I also had a very challenging Riding session on Day Twenty Three, mostly technique with some jumping on a very stubborn horse...amazing cardio workout and strength all at the same time! Wahoo!!

Now we're all caught up! Had a great eating day yesterday, heres to a continuation of the same!

Day Sixteen Week Three - My Twelve Week Challenge

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

So day sixteen was a productive day, got in mostly what I wanted to, would have like to have gotten a walk in but it didnt happen. Oh well, not the end of the world! I did a grocery list and some meal planning for the next week, so now this evening I am going to clean, bake, cook, portion and freeze galore! I'm taking new medication so I am hoping in combination with the workouts and healthy eating I'll actually start seeing some results!
Here it is:

I started with a 30 minute cardio pyramid, elliptical, stairmaster, rower.
I didnt have it in me to get on the treadmill I was so sore from legs the day before :)

Then I finished it up with a great weight set, I LOVE working out my back!

Until tomorrow sparklers! Have a great day!

Good for for you for accomplishing what you could and not worrying about what you didn't do -- like the treadmill. It happens, right!?!

Day Fifteen Week Three - My Twelve Week Challenge

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

So after being up all night with DH indigestion and then later snoring, I was not in the mood to go to the gym, I was cranky (cant use the word i want to there...but stronger than cranky) and exhausted. I wanted badly to start the week off well, and so decided to go to the gym.
This was the first week that Strength Training increased so I was even more skeptical to give it a go, but I got through it and had a few gains to boot :)
The morning albeit painful at first to get my butt in gear was a success, but the remainder of the day I failed on the food part majorly... I dont know why I cant just sort that side out...what results I'd be seeing im sure...anyway its a new day, new decisions, new food choices!

Here was my run/walk, slower than usual, but I was glad I powered through it:

some new exercises and a couple weight increases...not bad, my legs were burning afterwards and i ended up feeling pretty proud of myself! Made me realize I can do more than I thought I could!

We played catch for a bit later on in the evening...well a little bit was when I got to the point where the mitt wasnt catching the ball my body was because I was just too tired and cranky :S

NB: (I got a good night sleep last night....I am not cranky anymore)

Days Ten- Eleven-Twelve-Thirteen-Fourteen Week Two - My Twelve Week Challenge

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Oh My..some catching up is indeed in order...

Day Ten's Cardio...good little woggle :)

Day Ten's Strength Training..mostly maintained

Day Eleven's Strength Training...silly tiny.

No Cardio on day eleven, didnt budget my time well, at least I got in the ST

Day's 12,13,14 were rest days on the program (over the weekend) I did some active recovery on day 14 and while we were at the air show we walked the 2km tarmac up and back 4 times. It wasnt a direct walk as we were stopping here and there so I didnt record it, but at least I got the blood flowing :)

Here is to week three...and the constant struggle with food....
