Jillian Michaels Body Revolution – Week 1

Whew!

I finished Week 1. I have my rest day tomorrow, thank the Lord.

I told my hubby that I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I have worked out 6 days in a row since I’ve known him!

Jillian Michaels Body Revolution is a 90 day program divided into 3 phases. And, if you have ever done any Jillian Michaels dvd’s, you know she doesn’t mess around. The program incorporates both cardio and strength training.

    I'm on my second go through of Body Rev, about to finish weeks 7-8. You probably are anticipating it, but it gets a lot harder from weeks 1-2. I read the rest of your review on your blog, lol love the pic of jillian. I think a lot of people feel that way haha.But really, I love her bc shes gotten me to where I am and its fun to yell at her. I agree, the cardio can be repetitive doing it the whole month, but I like your idea of switching out the second cardio of the week for something else; I did that as well. it also helps to put her on mute and play music to get you through.   As I've been told, if it's too easy, everyone would be doing it so consider that a lot of people are taking the easy way out and we've been doing it to ourselves. My weight loss is slooooooowly coming along. I feel like I may be plateauing a bit, but I think it is mainly from eating junk on the weekends. I am going to try and do better this weekend though!

    I love that you have been so faithful on Sparkpeople. I have really gotten away from it, and see a need to return and be dedicated. I never added too many Sparkfriends and most of them have quit as well. Thanks for the motivation. I really plan on getting back to counting and back to the site. emoticon

    Oh man, I was doing great until I got hit again with Bronchitis! It just comes on so sudden and completely zaps my energy. I am hoping to be on the mend soon - got meds (including prednisone) so I will be feeling better soon.

My malar rash showed back up.

What is a malar rash?

A malar rash, also known as a butterfly rash, is often seen in Lupus.

It can be red, or even purplish, and can sometimes feel a little scaly. It can stretch from cheek to cheek across the nose like a butterfly’s wings and normally stays away from the nasolabial folds (smile lines on your face). It can appear as faint as just a flush, or bright red.

    Oh man, that sucks! Does it itch? My mom has lupus and she stays on Predisone year round (low dose). I hope the meds shut it down for you so it doesn't turn into a full blown crisis. Take it easy girlfriend.

One of my best days yet!

So, today was a pretty great day!

I've been wearing my Bodymedia Fit Link for over a week now, but this was the first day I hit the majority of my goals.

I burned 2600+ calories and it is only 8 pm! A great calorie deficit... plenty of steps taken. Only thing I didn't manage to hit straight on was my sleep duration last night. I stayed up too late and had to get up too early. I'll try better tonight!

I am such an information nerd, but I love seeing all these totals. It really helps me to just focus on making my day great. And let me tell ya, it makes it really hard to lie to yourself! You can't tell yourself you don't know why you're not losing weight if you know how many calories you've taken in, and the Bodymedia Fit tells you how many you've burned. It's black and white, right there in front of you why you haven't lost anything if you don't have a deficit.

    emoticon I have a fitbit and I am a numbers geek also. I freely admit it....I am a geek. LOL. I love the charts and graphs and the weekly email summary of my week. You are SO right! You can't fool yourself when all the numbers don't lie. HA!
