Well, one week down in 2009. I've always tended to hold weight in my mid-section and let's just say that I sporting a pretty decent "muffin top." For those of you who don't know what that is, it's when your stomach and/or sides hang out over the top of your pants. The first time I heard of this phrase was in describing the young 20-somethings who have no business wearing low cut pants and midrif bearing shirts. But, I think it can also be used to describe those of us (me!) who are wearing a mid-rise pants that are a tad too snug. So, there you have it... If there were a "Muffin-tops Anonymous," I think I would be a member.
The good news is... after one week of exercise and healthy eating, I've lost two lbs and my muffin top is... well, less "muffiny"!! So, here is to NO MUFFIN TOP by March!!! I'm on my way...
(OK, so there was no muffin in the food emoticons... a cupcake will have to do!)
