Doing the Snow Boogie!

I can not believe my eyes right now. There is actual accumulating snow here in Cincinnati! The kids are getting off early from school and I will have to meet them at the bus stop. (several blocks away) Guess we're having a late nap day.

Yeah! I love snow!

Woodie is eating and I can no longer hear him breathing all the time. I think the antibiotic is kicking in. Thanks for all the support and loving thoughts!

I, myself, got seriously off track this weekend and have not gotten on the bad wagon today. I HAVE TO EXERCISE! Grrr.... I just have been coming up with excuses today. I'm tired, I'll do it later, I started my period, I walked yesterday, I don't feel like it, etc.

You know what? I don't feel like gaining back my weight. I don't feel like stepping on the scale and seeing it going in the wrong direction. I don't feel like telling people that I gave up. I think I'm starting to feel like exercising. Gotta go......

I am soooo happy to hear that your kitty is doing better. He has really been on my mind lately. You are in a better mind set than me. So far I have not been able to get back to exercising. I am soooo happy Woodie is finally doing better. WHenever I lack motivation I remind myself how hard it was to lose the weight I already have and then I ask do I really want to have to lose those same pounds AGAIN???? That usually gets me in gear. Ruthie Report Inappropriate Comment

You have lost 15 pounds which is so amazing. I've never even lost one....ever. You will feel so much better when you get your exercising done. Have the kids do an exercise video with you. Make it PE class. You look so good...keep going. Report Inappropriate Comment

We picked up Woodie from the vet this morning. We have to give him 2 antibiotics once a day, keep him calm, pat his chest to break up congestion, put him in the bathroom with us when we shower, and feed him small meals 3x per day of smelly food. If he doesn't get better-we will have to put him down. I really hope he pulls through and that this is the last drama I have from any of my cats!

I suppose this has prepared me for the inevitable. My daughter and I am discussed what it would be like to have to put him (or our other cat) down. We have talked about suffering and trauma and how much a cat can take. I think it opened a door of communication for us, and that was a blessing.

I pray that your beloved pet does recover. Having to recently make that tough choice with our dog. My husband and son as well as myself were present and were petting Foxy. It was a very quiet peaceful passing and she was no longer in pain. I do hope that your pet recovers and this is not necessary. Update on my cat

He is still not doing as well as expected, but I am going to try to think positively and hope that he starts responding to the antibiotics soon. Perhaps he just needs a little more time, a little more antibiotic (I think they are going to put him on two different kinds), and a little bit of steroids (going to check if they have him on any now). He is still at the vet and I will be picking him up tomorrow. He does not have feline leukemia or aids. This is an emotional roller coaster. If he doesn't start responding soon, we will have to put him down. I don't want him to suffer unnecessarily. Please keep praying for us. I know we have felt better knowing you are ( I talked it all over with my daughter and we are thinking positively but preparing for the worst). Thanks, Jenn

I may have to put Woodie (my cat ) to sleep. His pneumonia is not getting better after being in an oxygen tent, getting a few nebulizer treatments, and being on IV antibiotics. Now the vet calls and says they have no record of him ever being tested for HIV or feline leukemia--which if he tests positive for either, we are/have been fighting a losing battle. I am just sick. I just don't know how I am going to break this news to my daughter. I love that cat.

What a sad thing for you and your family. We recently lost our scruffy cat, and we still come home expecting Kitty (I know, super-original name) to be waiting for us.
