Not sure...

Could have been the walk to the pool carrying a heavy bag...

Could have been the swimming...

Could have been the walk back from the pool with heavy bag...

Could have been the shhh...s.e.x

Any hoo, I re-injured the psoas muscle.

It sucks no matter what caused it.

I am still gonna swim today!

Maybe need to try something new in the s.e.x dept...

Could be fun...

Be careful with the swimming though as it uses so much core muscles. Could be therapeutic or could aggravate.

As for the Sshhhh s.e.x...anything that can get "new" in that area usually proves to be enlightening. ;)

Swimming is probably the best exercise when you are sore. Enjoy!!

BTW, I'll still be around for my girlies! I'm thinking I'll still blog at least once per week. I'm just back to tracking on paper again.

    What a way to get injured! If it had to be something, I suppose that is the best way. But any injury sucks! It's frustrating. Try not to let it become a focus in your life. Yesterday, my injury consumed my thoughts and energy. Not today...

I swear my body rebels worse and worse every time I get off track in the veggie/fiber dept. I even took some beeno. Luckily this just started, so I wasn't "blowin' bubbles" in the pool! Ha HA!

I will be regular. I will stay focused. I will eat fiber and veggies daily--even on weekends--so I can avoid these gassy times!

Ahh... For now. Stay up wind. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Can I swim with contacts in?

Do I have to know how many feet/miles to be able to log in swimming as an exercise?

    Here's a link that converts most activities into 'steps'. If you add the steps all up and divide by 2000 you'll get your mileage. It's another option for tracking that can be sort of fun:

    Thanks everybody! Swimming was fun! I did wear my contacts (just never put my face in). But I did forget to check the time. I'll just guesstimate on the tracker. emoticon emoticon

    My eye doctor told me I had to wear goggles if I wanted to wear my contacts in the pool. So, I would wear goggles or take them out! I just logged time (minutes) when I logged my swimming...sorry I can't help there!

    I swim with my contacts in but I'm careful not to open my eyes underwater.

    I wear mine, but try not to open my eyes. If I want to open my eyes, I prefer to wear goggles. I have swimming saved in my favorites and have 3 different types in there and can log by number of minutes for the style.

    I would just count the time that you're active as far as logging swimming, though there may be a specific laps-measurement, if you're in some standard-sized(Olympic or something like that) pool. Good luck with getting more precise info on that!

    As of the swimming with contact, my sister does, but does not put her head under water unless she has her mask on.

As for the exercise, if you go to "my Fitness" under cardio you can enter swimming in the search and it will bring up a few choices.... emoticon

    We have swimmers on Boo's team with contacts, but they definitely wear goggles.

No, you don't have to know how many miles, it asks for minutes and type of stroke.

Weekend update

Monday, June 14, 2010

Friday I went to a very hot, humid, and loooooong baseball game. Cincinnati Reds v. Kansas City. Great game, with a disappointing ending. 11 innings, lost by 1. Bummer. Had hot dogs and stadium mustard (yum!) and some beer with lime. The only time I eat hot dogs is at a baseball game. And, I almost never go to games. So, yippee for me!

Saturday I had a great woman's Bible study in the am. (Never thought I'd ever say something like that in my life. Really not ever been a "Bible Thump-er". But it was really great.) Then I had a delicious Mediterranean lunch with my brother for his Birthday. Yummy! Then a date night with BF. Lovely.

Sunday I got to sleep in. Ahhhhhh. Sleep. Then great lunch at a new restaurant and a movie with BF. I haven't been to a movie is a while. We went to see The A-Team. (would not have been my first choice, but it was a movie we could both agree to see). We spent a bunch of time reminiscing our childhoods watching the TV show. He loved that show so much as a kid that his parents would use grounding him from it as a form of punishment. I miss the adventures of Mr.T, Face, Mad Dog and grumpy old Hannibal. Good times... The movie was okay. Very action packed. It kind-of explained how the 4 of them ended up together in the first place.

Today I had a doctor's apt, to check up on my blood pressure. It is so low now! Yippee! Yeah for meds. But I can't wait to be off of them. They would still like to see me lose 25 more pounds. Well, I'm on my way.

I'm having a (n)______ kinda day

So, I'm having an "I do not feel like logging anything" kinda day.


An, "I don't feel like moving" kinda day.

But I read in another person's blog all about how often times we do not "feel" like doing lots of things. Like going to work, for example. But we go. Because we have responsibilities to work.

So on days like this, I just have to show up. Do the "work". And get through the day. It is my responsibility to eat right, and to log what I eat in the tracker. It is my responsibility to move my body and to track it daily.

How I feel about it really has no bearing on whether or not I need to to it!

So, Off the the Trackers I go!

    We all have days like this. Those are the ones we just trudge through and look for the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully tomorrow you will have more energy and enthusiasm!!!

You are right...we make choice to do things every day that we don't "feel like" doing. But, much of the time, it is not about how we feel--it's about responsibility, accountability, and doing the RIGHT thing. Emotions too often sidetrack us and convince us--it's only for a won't matter if you don't track for ONE day. Then one day turns into TWO days, THREE days, etc.
You made the right choice, Friend--and, later, you will FEEL great about that choice!!!!!! emoticon
