Dance Dance Revolution Dance Crews! Join Us for Motivation!

Sunday, November 14, 2010

Greetings All!

The Dance Dance Revolution Dance Crews have been wonderfully motivating for me. Here's how it works. Post on the thread "Join a Dance Crew!" Sarah or I will put you into the next slot on a crew. The crews at present are Alpha, Beta, Charlie and Delta. Track your daily minutes on the threads. Every Monday, a venue master is announced. You get to know the people in your group, chat about your experiences, keep each other motivated.

A little competition is truly a great thing. It is a ton of fun. Monday starts the new week, come join us!

What a Difference 20 Days Can Make! or It's All in the Attitude!

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

This time I started my quest on 12/30/09. I have no idea why that day as opposed to waiting until the first other than it felt right. In these 20 days, I have lost 10 pounds. That isn't the most impressive thing however. It's the 'tude. That is what is different this time. The white sugar, white flour, etc., it's all gone and I don't miss it because I can eat it if I really want to. I just don't want to anymore.

One of the big things used to be chocolate cake at work every Saturday night. After a couple of rounds of "Do I really want this?" I've come to the realization that I really don't. I want fruits, vegetables, whole grains and some select non-processed meats. That's what I'm craving these days and the weight is just kind of doing it's own thing and coming off. I'm excited to go to the gym and usually end up doing a little more than I scheduled because it feels good.

In summation, IT'S ALL IN THE 'TUDE! Deprivation doesn't work for me. Positivity and self-examination do!

I Have Found ...

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

I have found:

I HAVE to write down everything I eat, otherwise, I don't realize how much my intake is.

I HAVE to schedule gym time and go, tired or not, and get started. Once I have begun, 100% of the time, I'm fine and I enjoy it.

I lose weight rapidly and feel better within days of sticking to this formula.

Prayer helps immensely.

I am grateful for these last 14 successful days and looking forward to many more!
